An epic game to play while you wait for Skyrim

Post » Thu Jun 30, 2011 9:31 am

Well there are many topics asking what to play while you wait for Skyrim and to be honest there aren't many that can keep you busy for a long time i mean besides The witcher 2 everything else that came out around this time is either rly fast to finish it or ain't that good. Now there is a game that came out in 2006 its hack and slash game and ive played a lot of hack and slash games including Diablo series, Torchlight , Mythos and few you will not know but this game is the best hack and slash game ive ever played and its called Titan Quest.Even if its from 2006 the graphics compared to current hack and slash games is much much better, it has a great physics engine, every creature you kill fells like ragdoll, when you move the grass shakes, the water shivers the effects are amazing, and has rly long single player campaign that will take you to Ancient Greece, Egypt ,China you will fight every mythological creature from all of those cultures wich is rly fun, if you are planing to play this game make sure you also get the expansion Titan Quest : Immortal throne to enjoy the full experience since it updates the first game and adds new content weapons and much more.

Here is the trailer:

Isn't that a Dungeon Crawler?

Sorry but I have Torchlight from Steam's Christmas sales already. Maybe I'm a noob, but from experience, Diablo, Torchlight, and Fate all played %100 the same, so might as well just go with the cheapest one

I never really got into that game. Maybe I missed something but I found the skill trees to be kind of boring.
At the moment I enjoy Dungeon Siege III quite a bit.

Titan Quest is really loads of fun, but alas, I have in on Steam, and it seems that every now and then when I quit the game, all my saves are inexplicably deleted. My character is still there, and my quests, but every quest is reset and my skill tree, progression and inventory is back to square one.

It's fun. Very long, a bit repetitive, but it's very easy to pick it up again if you've left your game for a few days. Definitely a good game in the hack 'n slash genre.

Its hack and slash game if you mean if you can go anywhere in the area or city where you at then yes and if you finis the game or finish everything in ancient Greece you can teleport wherever you want Sparta,Athens etc same as when you go to Egypt i mean the game is really long and yes like every other game is a bit repetitive but when you finish for example ancient Greece in Egypt everything will be different like different mythological creatures to fight different areas which are gorgeous etc

Titan Quest and its expansion pack were both great games. I still install it again from time to time. It honestly was better than Diablo, IMO. The different class combos really made it shine for me.

The only game im playing right now is vanilla morrowind (besides the magicka regen mod), and thats after 1500+ hours clocked on morrowind already. I got the witcher 2, but really the game is not that interesting. And Diablo 2 is fun like once every 2 years til you get to the third act (i always seem to stop playing at act 3).
Also if you have the people to do it, D&D is fun as hell. Right now Im DMing a custom DnD campaign (spent like a month making my own campaign rule settings, a mix of medival, magic and guns, its pretty sweet).

I have it, its a Diablo wannabe and its boring as hell. You find a guy, he tells u to do a quest for him, the reward is he tells u to go to another guy, so u go to the next guy and he makes u do another mission, then he tells u to go to another guy, then that guy tells u go to save the princess from thegorgons, so u kill the gorgons, then u save... Toad, who says "The Princess is in another castle"... etc.

Oh god.. I saw interviews of that game during E3. The Art Director literally made the main character HIMSELF! If you look at the guy who was presenting the game, and you look at the main character, they look exactly the same, they even have the same hair. This guy literally made a game so he could be like "yeah im badass!!" and hes literally a mix of Solid Snake (or more like Big Boss) and Wesker from Resident Evil 5 times 1000. Im totally not gonna play it just because the director is a complete [censored] who wants to make himself in a video game kicking ass.

The Witcher 2 all the way, best game graphics I've ever seen, great story and voice acting, several choices that affect the outcome of the game, just overall I would call it a contender for game of the year. And now that its coming out for 360, I would say its definitely a contender. There is a ton of stuff to do in this game, and if your computer can handle it, please get this game!
