Question: I wonder how likely to find a group in game to do content like this if one is "solo mode" and your guild(s) are in low pop (aka non peek times for the servers). In other words, how likely to group (aka find) with strangers for content like this?

One has up to 5 guilds to draw from

Also, in non peek times the mega server will combine shards for people to be on the map.

Indeed so, also remember if you deal damage or heal people, even if you're not in a group, you'll get rewarded since there's no mob tagging.
