Epic or quest weapons not so epic.

I feel like a lot of the quest weapons are way too weak compared to weapons I can create.Does anyone feel the same?

That's why there's smithing. I can take any weapon I want and make it worthy of song.

Some of them can be upgraded, and can be as strong (if not stronger) that your hand made weapons. You just have to use that annoying loop everyone either praises or constantly whines about. My opinion, the loop isn't worth the time. They can be cool if you're really into RPing like I am. Just throw stats to the wayside. Let's be honest, you really don't need that Daedric swords damage.

I'm glad not every reward consists of a chest full of gold, the sword of uber and falmer blood elixir.

I often find it hard to believe people can actually reward you with so much. I once got half a thousand septims for delivering a bag of potatoes for a certain group of hippie monks. For that kind of money, the quest giver could have hired an army of mercenaries and crowned himself king of High Hrothgar.

Doesn't it cost that exact amount to hire on Merc?

I think you both missed the point.

He could be smart and instead of hiring someone for 30 days, hire 30 people for one day. Or hire 60 people for half a day. Imagine the possibilities.

Yeah, late game you get 500-1000 septims for every job you do. Leveled rewards are good, but you can get the same money from killing a dragon that you could by delivering a letter.

That's why I usually don't go into the enchanting tree - I max it out, take a daedric/dragonbone/Stahlrim weapon, put two maxed enchantments on it (no glitch abuse) and congrats - I will never enjoy finding a unique weapon anymore.

Same goes for armors of course.

At that stage, the character becomes overpowered even on legendary, the game offers no challenges and rewards anymore and I usually quit the character out of boredom shortly afterwards.

Haven't played in a while, decided to make a battlemage for a legendary DB playthrough for which I considered enchanting essential - reached enchanting 100 at level 35 and quit soonn after that due to the fact that fights were a cakewalk and whatever i found, I had something better suited with better stats already equipped - boring.
