EQifying my Oblivion

Post » Wed Feb 16, 2011 12:04 pm

Main technical modding question - I was wondering if there was a way to make skeletons (or for anything being able to change their sounds when they attack depending on what they are) do the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWisI2lSc_A (at 1:35) when attacking if I can dig out the sound from either EQ 1 or EQ II?

I have Better Music System mod available and thought about using its features to place the old-style EQ Live bard guild theme midi music around taverns that I have on my hard drive (sounds slightly different than this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muW1ZU6b6z4).
I don't know if I can place music at ports with it yet but was thinking of using the EQ Live sailing http://kithicor.org/media/songs/eq_classic_boat.mp3 music (although the one I remember and is on my hard drive is slightly slower in tempo).

Perhaps I would use the http://kithicor.org/media/songs/eq_classic_poa.mp3 or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx0oAEpqYIY (orhttp://kithicor.org/media/songs/eq_classic_kelethin.mp3) for exploring.

I don't know where skeleton sounds are located (did a quick search in my EQ2 folder, couldn't find anything). Music is a little easier to track down. I use the Greater Faydark theme from EQ2 in Oblivion. It's as easy as copy/pasting the file into your Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Music\Explore folder.

So you don't need to edit the mp3's name?

Thanks :)
