equipment visualization

I like playing ranger-type characters in TES games, which often entails using a sword and a bow interchangeably, depending on the situation. Something that always bothered me was that although I switched between bow and sword often, both weapons were never visually represented at the same time on my character's body.

I think it would be cool, and relatively easy to implement, to be able to equip weapons of different types (like a melee weapon, and a ranged weapon), and then have the various weapons visible on the character: sword in sheathe at the waist, bow slung over the body, and arrows on the back.

I agree. Maybe we should have weapon slots?

That's... nice. At first I thought you were requesting a backpack feature.

The weapons equipped should have direct correlation of your hotkeys choices. But having 8 weapons equipped might be a bit much. I would love this feature!

Two different type of weapons equip-able, hold x (on xbox, whatever the "pull out/put away" button is) to change. You could have dagger and sword, staff and dagger, bow and sword etc. = look bad-ass and you don't have to go into your menu or press a hotkey to change weapons. I don't know if it would actually make it easier on pc but it would on xbox.

I've always wanted a feature like this. Even see a potion hanging from your belt if you have one equipped maybe? The look of my characters is very important to me, and the equipment I use is part of that.

I like the concept. I always felt your weapon should be sheathed, a Bow strung over your shoulder, and for the sake of practicality a Two Handed weapon resting on your shoulder. With how far games have come since the release of Oblivion I see no reason for such features not to be added. I too personally care a lot about my appearance. So much so I have Orcish Armor on a Character, and Imperial Soldier armor on another. I also avoid over the top Clothing/Armor Mods.

Having the ones shown based on what you have Hot Keyed makes sense. As to avoid Clipping from other Weapons, and for the sake of not going over board. Not sure about potions. I typically have at least twenty five on me, not sure I have enough belt space for all of them. :P
