So I've been traveling with ED-E for a good while now and haven't had any problems with it. Now all of a sudden ED-E has just disappeared and I can't find it. Now really this isn't that much of a problem since I finished the quest that goes with it but now when I try to get Rex to follow me, it says that he can't join while ED-E is with me.

I've checked back at Primm and Vault 22 which was the last place I remember having ED-E but it's just gone, even though other NPCs respond to it as if its following me. I'm playing the game on 360 and I'm just wondering if this is an issue that I can fix myself or will be fixed in an update, or am I just doomed to travel the wasteland without my robot friend

This happened to me with Arcade, ED-E and Rex, after I had given up on finding them I waited 24 hours for a quest and once i got out of waitng its said " has returned to " "You have lost " So try that.

That didn't seem to work

Oh well, I found an old save that had ED-E that isn't that far back so I'll probably just play from there. I'll only be losing my progress with the Kings so its not that bad.

My ED-E keeps getting attacked every time I get it to close to an NCR dude that has quest dialogue.

If they are not with you, there is a certain amount of time you have to wait until they get sent back to where you found them. Possibly a week.

I had ED-E do something similar, but it was during the last part of the ED-E my love quest so I could spot him with the marker. he was at the strip but made some weird path to Primm and seemed to go back and forth around camp Mcarran and Freeside's front gate. Just played for a couple hours without him and he was back at Primm eventually.
