Errors

Post » Thu Feb 25, 2010 11:44 am

Hey

This is a quick and stupid question:

How can I test if my game wont have any errors in the future, after installing a lot of mods (like error messages). I managed to reach Balmora without any anomalies. The mods im using are clean and I THINK I installed them correctly, thanks.

Outside of checking every mod, you'll have to just save regularly and see if any errors pop up. John Moonsugar's MLOX program has notes on some mods that have known errors, but it doesn't cover everyone. You could post your mod list and we can see if there are mods with known errors; check the bottom of your morrowind.ini file for a list, or use Wrye Mash.

I think the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Utilities.Detail&id=24 (plugin conflict detector) tool is very handy too, but it requires a bit more learning about how plugins work.

Like john said the tespcd is the right tool to do just that, but I think he forgot to mention the http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=getit&lid=96 which has a option for you to use the tespcd as well. You can also read this http://www.mwmythicmods.com/starting.htm.
