do we know what this actually means? are we constantly accompanied by him? or is he only coming with us on certain quests???

by the way im new to the forum and was looking for a search option...couldnt find it. can someone direct me?

I'm guessing Esbern will sort of be like Jauffre in Oblivion. And he saves us from our execution at the start of the game as well.

I think Esbern is someone we will meet early on in the main quest. And I highly doubt we will be constantly accompanied by him. He will be someone who helps us bring down Alduin, probably giving our character useful advice throughout the main quest.

I think Esbern would be settled in a rural mountain town guiding you along your epic quest away from immediate danger, he should be really old.

Eh I'd say he might be more like Baurus than Jauffre based on that whole quote, but what do I know.

So far he sounds like more of a Jauffre character. Either way we know that he will be an important mentor to us throughout most of the game.
