I'm currently escorting the slaves from the Temple of the Union to the Lincoln Memorial and boy is it dull. So far they've managed to get as far Friendship Heights metro but something must have spooked Hannibal because they just turned round and retraced their steps to the TU. Now we're on our way back to the metro and after a whole gameplay are just past Rockville.

Four Score the dog has been killed by someone or something in Rockville and Torres just got lost somewhere around the first visit to the Metro. If I don't intervene Caleb and Bill Seward get killed at the first encounter, which is with the Enclave just out of the TU, it's as if my presence is making things worse because whenever I've just gone and met them at the metro near the LM, they all survive OK.

According to the wiki there is a dialogue option that allows you to tell Hannibal that you'll scout ahead but it results him waiting for six hours before going forward, so I haven't used but it does indicate that escorting them is a game element.

Has anyone else tried doing this, if so how was it?
