I'm sorry to post an off topic question here, but
why the hell do I need an invitation to register and write in the Elder scrolls online forums? I've got an ESO account, but I cannot write anything in those forums; I'd really need some clarifications on armor sets and why are they for sale at high prices.

A lot of people have problems with invitation codes. You should have received an email with the code, but if you didn't, try contacting support (which is a challenge in itself, an ingame ticket might help).
Alternatively, you can always ask on https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/ or in our http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1582808-unofficial-eso-thread-2/page-1 here, which is kind of dead and probably invisible in search currently, but it's better than nothing. Which armor sets exactly are you curious about?
