Well, it definitely doesn't deserve all of the negativity it's been getting, so it's nice to see TESO getting some love.

It is very much my most anticipated game for 2014, and I can't wait for April/June.

I like how Forbes is on there in comparison to the last article we discussed.

It definitely doesn't deserve some of the negativity it has been getting.

That said, I tend to avoid these kind of websites and 'awards', one website says it's the most anticipated, another says it's most likely to flop, it's nonsense really, whatever happened to judging the game ourselves by actually playing it?

I'm excited for ESO, but I won't make a final judgement until I've hopped in game and played it for a considerable amount of hours, no matter what any website says.

Big company, legendary series, high expectations. It's natural. Big failure risks also. For me it's not only "game of the year", it's "game of the years until next TES is announced"

Well are there any other MMOs that are intersting at all? If you're above 25 that is? A yea Everquest Next if it's released this year. But I do not think it will be any real predecessor to EQ or even EQ2 for that matter.

Have to shake my head at how many times they said that Bethesda is making ESO not ZOS -- C'mon, at least get your facts right! Silly humans! :bonk: Just proves that they are more likely have their other facts wrong also. :stare:

I usually avoid them as well. Since they're usually biased/bought reviews/awards, based on little to no credible evidence or simply biased opinions. But every so often you find something of credibility amongst the rubbish.

Now, I'm not saying it's credible simply because it viewed TESO favorably, but it's better than the grossly misinformed hate articles bashing TESO based off of information that is terribly old and has since been proven false.

I always remain skeptical of "game Review" sites as those reviews are typically bought and paid for well before the reviewer ever plays the damn thing.

But I agree with you, and have said the same thing for well over a decade. It doesn't matter what any site/magazine says about a game or system. I reserve my opinion until I can jump in and get familiar with it myself. That said, what I see makes me very excited to give it a run through the metaphorical gauntlet. :D
