ESO keeps deleting itself

Post » Sat Mar 15, 2014 6:58 pm

Hello gents.

For some odd reason, my ESO client keeps deleting itself (meaning all of the game files, not the actual launcher) each time I quit it after the game has been downloaded and installed. I'm playing it with no problems what so ever at the first runthrough which makes it seems even more odd to me.

I've redownloaded the beta 4 times today already lol - 30 gb download is quite a lot each time one feels like playing.

Hope any of you will be able to help me with the strange issue - I've never experienced anything like it. I'm an advanced computer user too - I've even run a few drive programs in order to check that it's not my SSD that's dying or anything, and it's not. Everything seems to be as it should.

I might add, that it only downloads the actual installed files, all of the downloaded patches seems to be located in the depot folder still, yet it insists on downloading the entire thing again.

Best regards,

open your launcher click on 'game options' in the middle of the launcher then 'settings' and turn off the auto update. That should help you if there is nothing wrong with the game you currently have installed.

The problem is, I have no game installed - it deletes itself everytime I quit it/opens the launcher after I've quit it (not sure which one).

I'm now in the process of downloading it a 5th time today - also a correction to one of my earlier statements: It does in fact delete the patch files as well - it just leaves the "partial download" files in the depot folder.
