is ESO pay to win because the imperial edition perks.

It's bonus content, that's all. More importantly it's actually useful content unlike the crap I got for SW: TOR Deluxe edition.

But hey, maybe the developers will realize how much we all want necromancy since we keep bringing this dead horse back to life :)

Race is not something you collect, so why was it included in COLLECTOR's edition? It's still not P2W, but something new. PE2PA (pay extra to play all) or some new acronym.

i definitely wouldnt call it pay to win

i will admit that having a race behind collectors edition is a bit more than im used to

i would have been happy with just the horse

i do not like that the collectors edition, requires me to forego my xp bonus, or be part of a gay marriage(not because of the gay part, more that i like to get my xp bonus all the time(until lvl 10 or 20) not just when my friend is online)

thats usually about what you get from a collectors edition, a mount, some random fluff(useless pets, pretty hats...) and an xp item of some kind

the only game where i seriously got angry about what i got in the collectors edition was FF14ARR i did get my mount, what they forgot to mention in the description of the preorder, was that in order to use my mount, i had to do the quest line that gives you the skill to ride, and not only that, while learning to ride i also had to buy a mount......... so in order to use the mount from my collectors edition, i had to buy a mount, making my CE mount fluff aswell

Well yes, some good sides, but (as known) I tend to say that one race is not portrayed correctly and therefore doest not have the correct characteristic in it's racials. But we don't have to open this discussion again.

I think we have exactly the same PoV, standard version has no imperial race. Imperial edition does. So I bought IE, just like I have paid extra for a built in sat nav for my car. You just don't want to pay for sat nav you want it for free. I think that people who have put the price on it don't care to much about this.

This game is a money making product, it's not being produced to end war in Syria or to decrease rabbit population, it's purpose is to make money. Connect the dots...

Sure, but that's really what it boils down to. 80 bucks for the full game, or 60 bucks if you want ZOS to hand you 20.

Really? It may be something you don't do. I'm tempted to get the Imperial Edition solely so I can collect all the races. That way when I make a new character I have more options.

I don't intend to make an Imperial character (likely Bosmer or Nord) but I kind of want the option and that is pretty much the definition of "collect" for me - I don't need it but I kinda want it anyway :)

Please refrain from posting more, you clearly want to incite a flame war between p2w and "its just a bonus", and there has been enough of that, go preach your hate somewhere else or form educated opinions instead of bashing the opposition.

Actually, you get 100% of what you buy.

If you buy the imperial edition, you get 100% of the imperial edition content.

If you buy the normal edition, you get 100% of the normal edition content.

Those are two different product, containing different goods, and being sold at a different price. Complaining that you don't get 100% of the game if you buy normal edition is like complaining you don't get 100% of a 1L milk bottle if you only buy(pay for) a 0.5L one.

Lets consider the Imperial Edition the Standard Edition

Lets consider the former standard edition the Discount Edition

Now watch everyone complain that some people can get "MOST" of the content for $20/£20 cheaper and that this is biased against those that want to play Imperials. :flame:

That post contains too much complicated math, it will be ignored most likely. Lol.

Wow, clearly you are dead wrong. I'm actually on the side of "everybody just chill out", because it's a non issue. Keep on posting your hate if you like, but really....the whole thing is a big nothing.

And if they add a pay gate for certain zone, you will claim that you are collecting zones, right? :)

They haven't, and they aren't.

It's amazing how people think that the "slippery slope" argument works in every possible situation.

You are right, it doesn't. But the logic "Give'em what they want and wrap it in something they already know (CE) and they, themselves will make an excuse for us" obviously works here. :)

How do you think the next digital CE edition in the next big MMO will look like? With more, or less "collectible " stuff?

Because bashing an opinion shows nothing more than "chill out man"...

As you wish, but I will always voice my opinion when people also voice their opinion that the imperial edition is "just" a bonus better than most usual CE's, it's not its good its more than usual CE?s, but its too far, and makes you wonder whats their next move, which apparently no one read into that yet.

OF course we can't say "doing this means they 100% sure they will do that", but it should make you wonder, where is the "stop" sign for this type of actions.
