Well a watchtower made of crystal =) http://www.mediafire.com/view/?kaq61us6ncr63#t2b917b5hb0vb4l Not THE Crystal Tower. I'm still kinda blinded by the splendour of Crystal-like-Law and can't see it clearly enough... besides, Ayem is very demanding that her portraits be finished first.

She did yeah. It was a guard tower thing and is pretty cool. Just wish we had a closer view of it.

"Closer" as in "with actual detailing that would make sense"?

I find the new forum design to be somewhat buggy, but other than that I'll live. The bugs are slowly but surely being exterminated as it is, so it should get all better as time goes along.

I would hesitate to consider justiciars to be lore-friendly this early in the Second Era. I cannot help but note that there is no mention of the Thalmor at all in the bits and pieces we have available to describe this AD, and that the first Thalmor that we ever heard of (you know, the one belonging to the real first AD, founded in 830 or so) has practically nothing in common with the Thalmor we're familiar with due to Skyrim other than the shared name, again based on the limited information we have on both entities. Who says this "actually the first, trust us" Dominion even has a Thalmor party/government, or that said Thalmor would respond to the Mannish threat in the same way that the other two Thalmor(s) later did/do (considering that the 2E 830 Thalmor tried to maintain the status quo in terms of retaining what power they already had in the face of an expanding Mannish threat, whereas the Fourth Era Thalmor have been much more interested in their own expansion at Man's expense)?

I actually do plan doing some serious 3D modeling for my Sumursets series when I'm done with my current 3D request from another fandom, it's just that I'm slow because of a) real life; b ) *stupid smileys!!* having to use a mouse. I'm growing older, and my hands don't like the mouse as much anymore... but I hope to be able to get a tablet this summer, and hopefully it's going to up my CG productivity.

I have a series of traditional artwork planned depicting the pantheon and typical caste members (in the Third Era tradition), yet as of right now, it's Ayem and Vehk (and Vehk) who demand I devote all my free time to them =) But I'm willing to take Altmeri-related requests in any medium, it's just that I won't be able to start right away.

A couple of ideas for the Second Era:

...has anyone planning to take part in the contest actually considered doing a Sunbird? Or at least a proper Altmeri seafaring ship? Like in Tiber Septim's sword-meeting // http://www.imperial-library.info/content/forum-archives-michael-kirkbride // or based on a description here // http://www.imperial-library.info/content/forum-archives-michael-kirkbride //

And if you want Men-friendly, you could also illustrate these lines from the original PGE: "[Hidden magic] is everywhere incorporated in their writings... signs and preternatural runes and [correspondences]... in expenditure columns, even, or margins [that] can be fatal to the uninitiated. Crucial pages were covered with the spittle of the previous translator, who had babbled idiotically over the text for days before catching fire."

Definitely think at least one of us should go with the sunbird thing. That'd be awesome

Wrong topic...whooops.

But ya, LadyN should totally submit some stuff. Other lore folks too. Where you at? We need links.

Don't have the time, and, except for the tablet, don't need the prizes.

It's outside the bounds of the contest, but I'd suggest those with Tumblr accounts http://theelderscrollsonline.tumblr.com/submit any art they like to their page. Things don't have to be entered in order to be seen.

So is anyone working on this? I really think we should spread this as far as we can.

I probably won't be able to start on it until the 10th. I am making a few concept sketches when I can find a few minutes here and there and find the motivation.

Could you elaborate on "classy" and "something like this"?

Image composition isn't my strong suit, so I'd value some directions.

I am guessing make it sensical(those three are actually enemies), feel like TES(that and by extension the trailer, do not), pull on relevant lore so it is something that is a bit more unique to the setting etc etc.

Just a guess though.

I am thinking of doing a Dominion themed poster even though I kind of want to do an Ebonheart Pact one a bit more. Meh, oh well. I'll see what happens.

I'm doing an Ebonheart Pact one. I've already put the ghost of Wulfharth-Underking in the background. Unfortunately my tablet went through a spectacular meltdown and I can't finish. D:

Damn, I'd have loved to see you show ZOS how Ayrenn is supposed to look. http://ladynerevar.tumblr.com/image/47894965566 http://daryam.com/Blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/13.jpg, less http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/3/34/QueenAyrenn.png.

Ah, okay. That would make sense.

My current sketch could be titled "Morag Tong assassin boarding Daggerfall Covenant ship in the waters of Alinor", but I'm not sure it is going anywhere. I wanted to represent the three alliances somehow so it is recognizably ESO, but draw on ... more. Just hope I can get something satisfying done before the deadline. We'll see.

Nice and that is horrible sorry to hear that, I want a tablet of my own and wohld be a bit depressed if it had a meltdown. However since you are doing an EP one I feel better about doing a Dominion one.

@Faulgor.
You could have the Morag Tong Assassin sharing a quizzical look with a Bosmeri Assassin as the Covenant target is oblivious. Would he kind of funny and very remnisicient of ESO.

Although if you are anything like me now that I said that you won't want to do it. I try to be as original as possible sometimes, even when being unoriginal would probably be the better route. Now that doesn't mean I come off original, but I try to be and if someone gives me an idea, even if I like it, I feel like it isn't as special unless it comes from myself.

Actually, the Morag Tong assassin is the oblivious one, but I like your idea too. :P

Although sharing a look might be difficult with that http://uesp.net/wiki/File:MW-concept-10.jpg and all.

I feel I'm the complete opposite, though. I always hate my own ideas, and when I see somebody else do it I think it's the best one ever. One way or the other it's difficult to keep an objective look ony our own work.

Body Language can say a lot.

Fair enough. Most artists tend to be highly critical of their own work. Except some who think their work is the second coming or something...lol. I have one of those in my current art class. Not very good either...
