ESO = SWTOR, similar fates?

Post » Mon Dec 30, 2013 6:25 pm

Seriously, have you guys noticed all the similarities between these two games, since the change to Skyrim online? They are essentially identical in every way, except combat.

Very Casual

No end game

Single player game with multiplayer

Story based

Started as subscription for a b2p quality game.

etc… etc…

Lack of World PvP

Lack of interaction with the opposing faction

There are even a lack of PvP instances within ESO, which is going to be devastating, as there is basically nothing to suppliment the lack of PvE endgame.

I think it’s safe to say, that unless they make some changes this is going to suffer the same ill fate as SWTOR.

Huge sales followed by a huge decline, and then transitioning into a more realistic model.

Do some proper research on the game before making this ridiculous comparison, it's not the same, they are doing things and focusing VERY differently to swtor.

I have done a lot of research actually, and played both games. If you make an argument, instead of red herring fallacies, then I would be more than happy to properly respond.

Sick of hearing these comparisons, they've been talked to death many times over, nothing new to discuss here.

Other than the combat, which based on my experience I would consider clunky and vastly inferior in ESO, then how are they different?

Ohh and not little things like rvr PvP system, which I also consider drastically inferior to instanced PvP, or doing the quests of anotehr supposed faction, which is just a gimmick.

I am talking about core MMORPG stuff.

You're right, it's inferior in every way, Swtor is amazing and ESO is an inferior clone.

1. I don't give a [censored] about box PvP capture the flag or node or stupid arenas or whatever. I like the massive frontier AvA PvP.

2. I can't talk with you about the combat in the game because I'm currently under an NDA that I'm choosing to adhere to, unlike you.

3. SWTOR suffered from the biggest flaw a game can have: [censored] developers backed by a terrible and greedy company. Something TESO doesn't have to worry about.

Using and discussing information based on playing the game is breaking the NDA, as the OP said it from his experience of playing both games, fairly obvious isn't it?
