Post » Thu Jan 23, 2014 9:11 am

an "M" rating is in the united states considered "17" years of age and older.

im "all in" for the nudity and use of druggs and strong drink.

Except it sounds like they have already been swayed. People have been arguing for a long time that a lot of the frustrating lore changes, like skooma, cannibalism, Molag Bal's sphere, ect. were motivated by the desire for a T rating. It seems they were right and that's what ZOS was going for.

Now that they can't get it, they might as well undo those reductions.

Having played the beta I see no grounds for this. That's not a compliment, just a statement. I would elaborate, but NDA and all that...

I'm 20 and I don't have a credit card... I have a debit card, but I've had it since I was 13. In any case, I don't see how this change can weed anyone out, parents usually don't care about or don't even know the ratings of games their children play.

im willing to bet the only reason it came about was from the use of alchohol (meaning skooma and sujamma and the like)

No, sounds like they were simply making the game they wanted to make. Sure they might have been hoping for a lower rating but now that it got the rating, it makes little sense to change anything.

as far as i know morrowind was the only "T" rating spg they had, altho it did change to "M" later and also oblivion started as "T" but was changed ALOT quicker then morrowind did. i remember it was argued about in skyrim and i think began as "M"

They shouldn't change anything to fit the new ESRB rating. Forcing a PEGI 18 rating would be a mistake, imo.

Normal people don't care about ratings. But then we have the "concerned parents" and "concerned citizens" that have to blab their mouths and ruin things for everybody.

Nope, the M rating is also 17 for us.

I don't mind the rating. I guess this means that they can now delve into some darker themes.

You could allow them...just don't let other advlts see that they're playing those games. Also,I bet a minor could play the game.I played a lot of challenging games as a youth.
