Essential Morrowind mods?

Hello,

I just bought Morrowind for my PC and was just wondering which mods are the most essential for a more enjoyable game play. Any help will be appreciated.

The really only essential mods are the MPP and MCP. Optionally you can add Better Bodies or similar mods, as well as some texture replacers to up the graphics quality.

Before jumping in and adding a gazillion mods have a look at Pluto's http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1060141&hl=. Start a game with just the Unofficial Patch and, if you feel up to altering your Morrowind executable, patching with the Morrowind Code Patch (it creates a backup). Have a wander around, level up a few times and then decide what types of mods you'd like.

I will shamelessly promote Better Skulls (see below for a link). It's a small thing, but the improved meshes and textures make an enjoyable difference.

When I tried Morrowind again, I used http://morrowind2009.wordpress.com/ to get me started. Then I looked around and got whatever else I felt the game needed.
