Eternal Hunt

Faolin got up slowly, his whole body was aching. Winds blew him back and tried to stop him from reaching Thorin. Faolin struggled to keep his own against the winds. He was only a few feet away form Thorin and he desperately jumped forward grabbing hold of a patch of Thorin's fur. He held on for dear life as everything was fire, and then all was black. He and Thorin suddenly appeared outside the gate, which was now crumbling into debris and dust. He hit the ground with a thud and struggled to get back up. He did though, and then looked around. There were bloodseekers and guards everywhere. "Run, quick before they attempt to kill you." he whispered to Thorin. He looked at his fellow bloodseekers and put on a show in an attempt to make them believe he was not working with a werewolf. "Begone foul beast!" he yelled at Thorin while waving his bow around. "Run!" he whispered.

OOC : I guess with Bebop's no-further posting on my encounter..I get to control the npc's?

IC :

Flynt tore down the alleyway before eventually coming to a door leading into a guard tower . He looked back , aiming with his crossbow quickly to check if the vampire's were still tailing him before flinging the door open and bursting into the room .

A pair of Imperial Legionnares jumped as the door slammed open and Flynt walked in . "Do you mind?" one of them muttered . "We're off duty and have the right to indulge outselves in a game of dice....."

Flynt looked down on the two sitting men with clear distaste . "Or....you could do your blasted duty , and see to the vampire's that are giving pursuit behind me" He spat .

Just as Flynt finished his sentence , the two remaining vampire's burst through the door like rabid dog's , one instantly lunging at one of the guard's , the other going for Flynt . The remaining guard look's upon his friend and cohort being savagely mauled and run's out the tower entrance in terror .

"Coward" Flynt muttered as he began to engage in melee combat with the second vampire . He was quick , but Flynt was quicker . He flicked his wrist sending his blade shooting out into his hand . The Vampire went low , going for his lower Abdomen , giving him a quick window to try and get a stab into the beasts head .

The creature anticipated this move and quickly lashed up high , going for the throat . Flynt ducked under and came back up..desperately stabbing the vampire under the armpit and twisting the blade . The vampire shrieked in terror and flung the elderly hunter across the room , sending him into a table .

Flynt could feel his strength sapping , he started to sweat both in fatigue and nervousness as the vampire gripped his armpit , looking at him with blood-red eyes and baring sharp , drooling fangs . He acted quick , withdrawing his crossbow and firing a round . The shot was quick , and only hit the vampire in the leg as a consequence . Still , it was enough to send him falling over and render him immobile .

The remaining vampire was too busy feasting upon the scattered entrail's of the dying guardsmen to notice the bloodseeker approaching from behind . He reloaded his crossbow quickly , and , not taking any chances ,quickly shot the vampire in the back of the head at point blank range . He grabbed a longsword from the weapons rack on the wall and raised it above his head before bringing it down on the dead imperials neck and severing the head...just in case he came back with a thirst for blood .

Three Bloodseeker's walked through the door , recoiling at the mess and death . "A guard went and got us..." one of them said . "But it seem's the situation has been resolved?" .

"Take the remaining vampire to my quarters in the Tiber Septim...I want to get as much information out of him as possible before sunrise" Flynt spat , wiping the blood off his waistcoat . The vampire said nothing and remained complient as the three burly men dragged him out of the tower , Flynt following closely behind , a sinister glint in his eye .

Outside of Skingrad

Thorin, taking note of how heavily the casualties have struck the Bloodseekers, sped off into the adjacent wilderness. As he passed by Faolin, he whispered "Don't forget about the book."
After running four-legged into the forest for about an hour, the excess muscle and bulging veins disappeared, as well as the red eyes. Thorin stopped, now in regular Werewolf form, and sat next to a tree.
I had no idea that Oblivion... could do that to a Werewolf... I know I'll be visiting the Oblivion realm again soon... and I hope I can contain it... for Faolin's sake...
Thorin looked off into the distant horizon, the golden sun shimmering behind Skingrad.
And for my own.

Faolin nodded as Thorin whispered to him. A bloodseeker started to run off after the werewolf but Faolin stopped him. "We have probably suffered enough casualties tonight, rest fellow bloodseekers." Faolin walked off into camp and went into his squad leader's tent to report to him.
"What happened out there Faolin? Word is you went in the gate with a werewolf." said his commander.
"I chased him into the gate." Faolin replied taking a seat.
"Not what I heard Faolin. What's going on? You know I could have you hanged by the bloodseekers rules. Working with the enemy? And I also recieved news that you let the werewolf get away." said the commander with a grim tone.
"Sir, I thought we had suffered enough..." Faolin was cut off.
"I don't care how much we have suffered Faolin, it's a creature of the night. And that just makes it seem even more like you were working with him!" his commander yelled.
Faolin grew nervous for a second then responded. "Sir, they are all not evil, this werewolf... he... he's not like the rest..."
"Nonsense Faolin! You are talking nonsense! They must all be rid of! Faolin you dissapoint me, you are going to be put under arrest..."
"That's not going to happen." said Faolin as he stood up. He pulled his bow out and notched an arrow quicker than ever, and put a burning hole right in his commander's forehead before he could even react. Faolin walked out of the tent and ran into the woods, searching for Thorin. He found Thorin's tracks, and started to follow him. He heard screams and shouts as they discovered the commander's body. Faolin looked back and saw a fire in the distance. I guess my arrow caught the tent on fire too... He continued for an hour losing his place every once in a while, he had never tracked a werewolf before. He eventually made a firgure out in the distance looking at the sun. "Thorin!" Faolin yelled trying to get his attention. Faolin approached the werewolf. "I had to get out of the bloodseekers camp. I did something I wasn't supposed to... I have no where else to go. I'm with you now. What were you planning on doing?"

Thorin watched a shouting Faolin approach. He thought he heard him say something about leaving his bloodseeker camp.
"What? What in the hell did you do?"

"I put an arrow through my squad commander's head. Ever since I met you I have been questioning the bloodseekers morale... and my own. Todays the day that I stand up against the bloodseekers." he looked at Thorin. "Thorin... we have to stop the bloodseekers once and for all."

Woods near Skingrad

Synthius walked through the trees noticing the gate closed. He tuged the corpse along the ground next to him. Feeling that his lair would be empty now, he would head back there. There would be enough bodys for a while. Even if there are any survivors, they would be easily disposed of. He walked silently through the forest, pulling his hood over his head as clouds apeared over the sky. A light drizzle of rain fell. it soaked his hood as it picked up, going trough his hood, getting his head wet. He was rather enjoying the walk as it was nice weather out, at least he thought.

After Synthius walked through a seemingly peacefully area, but a simple stare at an animal would fritten it. The body left a blood trale, making puddles filled with blood. He took a break by dropping the body down and sitting on it. he examined the face more closly, imagining the soon to come pain on his face. All the great pain, he would greatly make this one suffer, he would tear each finger nail off, and stick them in his eyes, he would let deranged rats feed on him alive, and he would put him in a cage the size of his body filled with spikes and every time he moved, they would peirce his skin.

DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE LOCATION TAGS!

Solstheim, Just West of a Nordic Village

Captain D'raziir watched as his covert Bloodseeker agents crept up the snowy hill towards a Nordic village. He smiled wickedly, as he gripped his Daedric claymore.
"I smell a Werewolf or two in town," he growled, stabbing his blade into the snow.
"Their blood will soon mark the walls."

Imperial City, Just East of Tiber Septim Hotel

Llaryn Dren stood atop a clocktower, looking down on the Tiber Septim Hotel. There, his men had fought a Bloodseeker. A very talented Bloodseeker. Dren smirked.
"Soon we will have a wondrous fight... when our blades meet, the angels and demons will sing of our glorious swordplay!"
A raven on the Vampire leader's shoulder squawked excitedly.
"Soon Riff, soon," said Llaryn comfortingly stroking the bird.
"Very soon indeed."

Forest Far East of Skingrad

"Stop the Bloodseekers? Stop them? Surely you have gone mad, my friend," remarked Thorin, morphing into a Wood Elf clad in battle-scarred Elven armor.
"They intend to destroy my race... and... and I am perfectly content with it. They are murderous, bloodthirsty creatures of the night! But you are right about one thing. The Bloodseekers are power hungry... too power hungry. They indeed need to be stopped... before they take over the already greedy and self-centered government of Imperials. But first things first. We find this book, and destroy it. It's that... or Mannimarco finds it, which he will, and..." Thorin stopped there, a forlorn look etched upon his beautiful elven face.
"... and lay waste to Tamriel. We cannot allow this. I do not know why a Daedric lord wants the Book of Ancients, but it cannot fall into his hands either. So it's settled. We find the book. Are you with me, Faolin?"

The Tiber Septim doors swung open , Flynt and his men walking in menacingly . He had forgotten completely about covering his mauled face , but decided that that paticular problem didn't take priority now . "Drag him....upstair's"
he commanded , motioning with his finger at the staircase to the east of the main hall . The Bloodseeker's complied and dragged the wounded vampire away whilst Abbott appraoched the main reception .

He guessed the clock must be nearing 12:00am judging by how long he was out in the moonlight for , and wanted to get as much information out of the vampire as possible . He lay down forty gold piece's on the polished oak table , despite the absence of the innkeep . "She won't stop me, from...my fun" he spat under his breath before making his way up to his room....

The Bloodseeker's had handcuffed the vampire to the curtain beams infront of the window , his back turned to outside . Flynt smiled at the idea of what would happen to the vampire come 7:00am , and nodded towards his men in gratitude . "Also....I wan't a background check on any Llaryn Dren's in the area" he said as his men were halfway down the stair's .

"The Dren are a well known Dunmeri family...that might be a good idea to start . Some vampire's said he was the head of operations here"

The men nodded and exited the building . Flynt closed the door and locked it , before turning around to face his foe with a sinister glint in his eye . He flicked his wrist and unsheathed his dagger before walkijng right up to the defensless creature and lightly sticking the blade in it's mouth .

"Your going to talk...Or we will start with removing those fang's you vile filth are so proud about"

Tiber Septim Inn

The Vampire smiled wickedly.
"Oh I'll talk. I'll tell you all you want to know. You want to know who Llaryn Dren is, eh? Right, I'll tell you. In his youth, he became famous by using his family's riches to stop creatures of the night... much like you and me," said the Vampire, smiling sadistically.
"He was a noble. Well known. Rich. But his life wasn't perfect. His father was a Vampire, and one day Llaryn had to confront him. He had to kill him. His own father. And so he did. But his father left him a present: a bite on his wrist. Llaryn went mad, leaving Morrowind and the Dren family behind. He came here, and after amassing a small army of Vampires, he took over the underworld of the Imperial City. With proper bribes, he has kept the Imperials off his back. Even a few Bloodseekers..."
"He owns a manor here in the city. Darkwood Manor. But you wouldn't go there... you'd be a fool to confront him in his own house. He has over a thousand Vampires within, most of which are well trained in the arcane arts and the use of weapons or marksmanship. Even a dozen squadrons of Bloodseekers couldn't besiege the manor. So if I were you-"

Suddenly the window burst open, sending shards of glass flying across the room. By the time the Bloodseeker had looked back at the window, the prisoner was already dead, a glass arrow protruding from his jaw. A bloody note was stuck to it, signed "Llaryn Dren".

Cave, South-east of Skingrad

Lliryn's eyes snapped open as he came out of his mediative state, a troubled look on his face. His meditation had been rather troubled and not very relaxing, as his mind was bombarded with strange and cryptic messages. It wasn't unusual to the Dunmer however, as opening gates to other planes often led to such things. But this was different. The being in his mind was powerful, bypassing Lliryn's mental defenses with ease, and pounding his brain with warnings and messages about something.

The problem was, he had no idea who it was, and what they possibly wanted from him. He rose slowly, contemplating the messages from the powerful individual, as he grabbed some fruit from his store house, and made his way to the ritual chamber, where he was going to begin to umbue his servant with powerful enchantments. He had the ones he wanted in his head, one for increasing the things strength, its speed, and one to make the thing quite resistant to magical and physical attacks.

He walked up to the corpse which was still bound by the ritualistic circle, and opened the tome again, as he began his chanting to further power his newest servant....

-------------

Thirty minutes later

Lliryn watched in absolute glee as his servant arose, the magical barrier released, and the Necromancer eager to test his new servants loyalty. His yellow smiled widened as the mummy shuffled around the room, obeying his every command without resistance, as it stopped in front of its master. Lliryn walked over to a small table, the last piece of the mummies power lying on top of it.

He picked the steel mace from the table, and held it out in front of him. It was enchanted with a hardening spell, making it even more deadly and solid, and more resistant to breaking and wear. He handed it to the mummy, instructing it to take the weapon. The mummy reached out, and with its cold, dead hands, it grabbed the mace from the Necromancers hands, and held it against its side limply, awaiting more commands.

Lliryn smiled again, having the perfect tasks in mind. He called the mummy and Sorian to his side, leaving his cave with its usual protection, as he made his way towards SKingrad. He was looking for that cursed Bosmer Bloodseeker, dying to show him his new friend.

OCC: Sorry for my absence, work  and my girlfriend :hubbahubba: get in the way sometimes.

Elven Garden District

Fredrick walked around the city as a nobelman would, very decent and very sure of himself. The woman who had become a new vampire looked at Fredrick with a strange face.

"What are we doing M'lord?" the woman said as Fredrick stopped and looked at the woman, with a straight sturn face.

"You are a Vampire now, and you may do what you want my dear, but please leave my presence. You begin to annoy me!" Fredrick said as he walked away from the woman who seemed dumb founded. Fredrick looked around and spotted what he was looking for. His old friend would hopefully be glad to see him. It had been along time, since Fredrick had talked with his old friend Dren.

The night was bloody and calm. Fredrick approached the two large doors of Dren's Manor as he was stopped by two Vampire guards.

"Who are you?" they said looking at Fredrick with curious vampire eyes. They were no match for Fredrick, who could have easily killed them where they stood, but did'nt, the two vampires held their spears to Fredricks heart, as he spoke calmly.

"My name is Fredrick, and I've come to see an old friend!" Fredrick said with a smile. The first smile he had had in a long while. The two guards looked at each-other as Fredrick moved their spears aside, and walked into the Manor. It was a spectacular manor for a vampire living in Cyrodiil, but Fredrick had seen better.

"DREN YOU LAZY BASTARD WHERE ARE YOU!" Fredrick yelled as he saw a figure approach. It was Dren.

"Dren how are you my old friend. Still killing mice for fun?" Fredrick said with a chuckle...

"The best deserve the best," replied Dren, taking a sip of his conspicuously red wine.
"Would you like some?" said Dren, waving the glass. "The finest Khajiit in Cyrodiil!" he said with a wicked smile.
He snapped his fingers, and a waiter pushed open a door from the kitchen, carrying a plate of glasses with the same red liquid inside.
"What have you been up to my old friend?"

Fredrick kindly took a glass of the red "wine" from the waiter and held it in thanking Dren. He took a sip from the "wine," as he looked around for a moment. The night was going to be good.

"Well Dren I have'nt been up to much lately. The damn Blood-seekers have been making things difficult for me down in Anvil, and other places. I have'nt found much "Game," in the city tonight. Something going on?" Fredrick asked taking another sip of the "wine". It was warm and nice, almost seemed new. Fredrick walked over to Dren and sat on a seat that was next to Dren, as he too took a seat.

"So tell me, Whats going on in the city? I've heard that Blood-seekers roam the night hunting vampire and others?"...

"Yes... I'm afraid..." said Dren, walking up the stairs and onto a balcony that looked over the vast city down below the hill the mansion stood on.
"Some friends of mine... they met trouble near the Tiber Septim Inn... one of them was captured by a Bloodseeker. A very intelligent and skillful Bloodseeker. I do not know his name, but I desperately wish to have a good sword fight with him," said Llaryn, drawing his beautiful ebony Cutlass from it's scabbard.
"If only..."
"At any rate, one of my top marksmen, Reveren Sirius, has sent him word of my desire to duel with him. We must wait, wait for his reply. If he denies the honorable duel, then I ask of you, my friend, one small favor."
Llaryn Dren turned around, his Ebony Cutlass glimmering in the moonlight.
"Find this man. Find him, and make him pay for what he has done to my brothers."

East of Skingrad

Faolin looked at Thorin as he transformed. "I have not gone mad... I know the werewolves are an evil race, and so are some of the other creatures of the night. But there must be others like you Thorin. The bloodseekers started with a good intent but they are the ones who have gone mad. But at any rate... agreed, we will find this book first."

"Very well," replied Thorin.
"We know it's in Skingrad... well, at least the Daedric Lord thinks it's in Skingrad... we should begin searching soon. We cannot allow Mannimarco to find it before us. I will stay here in the forest. It is where I have lived for a decade since my leave of Solstheim, and before that, Valenwood. If you wish to stay with me, I will go and scavenge some food and blankets for you. Are you a good climber? I can show you Ren. It's the tree I've been staying in, massive actually. I even built a sort of house, invisible to the human eye from this angle. If you're wondering why it has a name... well, us Wood Elves know a thing or two about nature. It told me her name," said Thorin, winking.
"Now, follow me," he said, transforming back into a beast and hopping up into the massive Great Oak tree.

"Heh, I bet I'm a better climber than you!" Faolin said as he followed after Thorin up the great oak tree. Faolin kept good pace behind Thorin. "I'm kind of worried. Bloodseekers everywhere will be looking for me now. This might stall us. But then again that makes us both wanted criminals."

"Don't worry. Bosmer Mercenaries and Rogues have been after me since the day I left Valenwood... I won't go into detail, but I did some bad things. Right now, Solstheim is the safest place for us. Well, there is the invasion... but I'm positive the Nords can handle it."
Thorin scrambled over the top of the tree, looking around at his amazing den. It had a wooden floor consisting of 2x4s, much like a deck, and various pieces of furniture, even a stove for cooking, a mirror, three beds, some overhead cabinets, and a few tables. The treetop above even added to the atmosphere. It was overall nicer than any house in Skingrad.
"Welcome to my place," said Thorin, displaying his sharp Werewolf teeth with a cheerful grin.

Thorin's House

"Looks pretty decent. Nothing liek the bloodseekers headquarters but it's pretty good." Faolin looked around for a moment then sat down on the couch. "I heard you mention Solstheim is the safest place for us right now? What about the werewolves there? Wont they be angry to see an ex-bloodseekers in their midst. After all... I am well known throughout the creatures of the night. Heh." Faolin said with a laughing smile.

Thorin's House, Far East of Skingrad

"Not at all," replied Thorin.
"Most of the Werewolves on Solstheim, or at least the Nordic ones, are very friendly. They're nothing like the bloodthirsty ones you find in the wild. They would have some trouble accepting you... but I am good friends with some of them. Or at least the ones who have forsaken their heritage... like me."

"Hmm... sounds good to me. So what's the plan? We go after the book and then go to Solstheim? Or the other way around?" Then Faolin suddenly patted his thigh, looking for something. "Damnit! I forgot about my dagger. My steel dagger. I left it in Oblivion. I guess I'll have to get a new one... but that one was custom made. Damn..."

Thorin grabbed a shimmering object from atop his clothes dresser, and carefully handed it to Faolin.
"It's an Elven crafted short sword, with several magical enchantments. I know one of them is an electricity enchantment, but the others are unknown. I have no need for it, please, take it. I insist."
