The bears looked great, much more scary, and they were larger than Oblivion.

Couple questions from me, if you have time to answer:

1. Could you still have run from the guards after sheathing your weapon and given the option to be arrested, or were you locked into place?

2. What exactly was bad about the swimming animation? (Trying to find an Oblivion youtube video for reference, but having a hard time..)

What difficulty options were after novice? How many were there total? How was the 3D map? Did you see any local/dungeon maps?

OP, Sorry to ask...

You start your gameplay at level 1 in both times, right? How much health (HP), magica and stamina points do you have in the beginning in the demos with the Orc and the Nord? Do you remember?

Many thanks. And gracias for your thread. Wonderful reading !!!

1. You could still run if you wanted, you wasn't locked in place
2. The closest thing I can think of is that it looked like your character was sliding on his belly

Lol @ #2. I'm a 1st-person player anyway, but I do hope they've tinkered with this since June. Thanks, man!

The options were I believe was expert and then master, can't exactly remember, the 3D map was ok, I kinda missed the Oblivion and Morrowind style but it was OK. I did see the local map and it was paper like, as if somebody drew it, really nice effect.

Does swimming pull you into third person? Reiner from GI said swimming looked fine, so I guess everyone will have a different opinion on that animation.

Also, during dialouge, did you always have the text overlay up, or could you press B to close it and still continue conversation?

Thanks for answering our questions!

is the melee combat visceral and does it have sufficient OOMPH?

I refer to the CRUNCH feeling you get from one of the official trailers where you see the player smash an axe into the head of a draugr. the rest of the combat from the other gameplay trailers dont seem to have the visceral feel that short clip has.

The spriggans definitely had a more demonic evil look to them, much nicer than in Oblivion and Morrowind I only notice it coming back to life once though, after killing it twice it remained dead. I didn't recognize any VA but everything I head was great, much more natural than Oblivion. I did get a conjurers robe from the Necromancer I killed, I didn't wear it too see the enchanted effect but in the item menu it had a blue outline. I also saw a picture of a sabretooth lion in the loading screen, it was very ferocious looking, the written message underneath it mentioned how it ambushes travelers in the mountains.

Thanks! Isn't there supposed to be a cast list being released at some point?

NPC death sounds sounded great and natural, you can close the dialogue menu and continue a conversation, It did not feel like Oblivion 2.0, it felt like a whole new game, but I did get the sense of something similar to Morrowind if anything. Hitting people definitely has more of an impact feeling than any other TES game, I felt like I was actually causing more pain.

Hmm, very old build. Alpha build (They weren't even beta-testing yet.) Not worried about the bugs at all. As for graphics. Todd said that's the last thing they focus on. So graphics optimizations weren't even in this build.

You're awesome Vix! Did you see any NPC's entering interiors? Did you mess with the 3D map? If so, just how big is it? Are places you haven't been covered in fog/clouds until you find them?

You mentioned a Destruction perk that reduces magicka cost. Do you recall any of the other magic skll perks?

Thanks, I did see NPC's entering interiors, they actually have an animation that makes it look like they're opening the door, the door also opens a bit, the door also opens a bit for you. No I'm afraid not but to be honest it's kinda hard to make anywhere out so it's not like you're going to get spoilers from looking at the map. I don't mean it's so hard to see that you can't see a thing but it's not enough to be able to anolyse every piece of land covered. I guess when you have visited an area it begins to clear up I'm not sure I didn't look at that.
