Were there any awkward conversations like in Oblivion (I saw a mudcrab the other day, horrible creatures!), or did they feel more natural?

Anyone stop to think that the regen health rate is a mechanic that gets tweaked up until release? A build that old doesn't have final mechanics. Not to mention that it could have been tweaked for demo purposes?

Read the bottom, I did a lot more on my second play through.

I apologize. Thanks for taking the time to post; really looking forward to hearing about it.

I would say that many NPCs will have "unique" lines that they say sometimes in certain situations with others NPCs (Like the Old Woman and her Son or the Wife and the Barman) and after they used those "unique" lines they will say the "normal" lines.

Mods?

PS3 player. :sadvaultboy:

@Dragonborn1 Yes, but the fact that they made it that fast in any build is troubling, and it will likely be similar in the final build.

One thing, we knew about the screen tearing, but changes in frame rate? No v-sync activated? If so, screen tearing should be fixed when it ships.

It was berserk, basically your character heals faster and that. Also healing outside a battle is actually pretty quick. A lot faster than I liked.

This is good for my character concept...

Like I said, posting in this same topic, also don't quote me on the health regeneration, I just noticed that it was going up pretty fast, but I think I think I thiiiink I used my power, not sure I kept on getting interrupted by the staff lool. Also graphically it is a very old build, and seriously the TV was terrible, it doesn't look like the Demo we saw. I know they came out at the same time but the TV wasn't even true HD. The conversations were much more improved, the first one I heard was the old lady and the dragon, the second was in the bar and the third were between three guards (it looked like three guards were chatting to each other anyways) The dialogue was very much like FO3, much better to Oblivion with a lot more choices of what to say.

Great news, thanks!

And count me in the camp that believes health regen was probably tweaked for the demos. You only get 20 minutes to play, resting and whatnot would be a drag.

Health regen was obviously tweaked for the demo. OP, was there an option to pick up a quest to find ingredients for the husbands wife in the tavern? Sounds like that conversation was leading to a quest.

Edit: Ah, I see be was using his racial power.

Yes, that's my thought too, they didn't want people to die too often and go home frustrated.

Yea OP made the game sound like it was a buggy, almost laughable mess. Did you like anything about the graphics? Did it look good at all? How were the NPC animations since it was an older build? Can you talk more about the atmosphere? How many POI's did you see on the compass? Did you come across a lot of dungeons, or was it barren?

they told me that the current build they were showing was the promotion build and is the June edition,

Ha, i knew the demo was a separate build from the actual game, i just knew it.

For those worried about the graphics, he also said he was on a terrible TV, and that it didn't look as good as other demo footage we've already seen.

Ha, i knew the demo was a separate build from the actual game, i just knew it.

So Todd lied? In the GT video interview at PAX, Todd himself said the entire game is there in the demo minus the Dragons/MQ spoilers. That's what they mean by "promotional" build. It technically doesn't have everything, but the world is there. Another person that played visited all of the cities with the carriage system.
