Eurogamer Expo: 23rd September

Post » Thu Sep 22, 2011 5:12 am

I know another member, Sammuthegreat is going to Eurogamer expo on the 25th and no doubt he'll get some great info. Here's his thread: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1231845-eurogamer-expo-sun-25th/page__hl__eurogamer

Now, I'm going to the Eurogamer expo this Friday (The 23rd) and I want to see if I can find us some new info. Bear in mind that the full day ticket (11am-7pm) is only 8 hours worth, and the queues are predicted to be between 3 and 4 hours long for Skyrim (meaning I'd get only 2 chances tops to play the game) and the demo is expected to be around 10-15 mins. So bear that in mind when you request stuff.

The reason I bring up Sammuthegreat's thread is because he's already learned from you guys what he's going to be doing; it seems very counterproductive of me if I do the same thing as him, lets try and get as much info as we can with the time we have.

So there you go, tell me what you want to see; what character, where to go, little details, NPC's, animations - whatever, I'll update the OP with the general plan of action and I'll put it in effect come Friday and I'll hope to have a write up on Saturday, and hopefully some pictures too.

To see and do list:
-Look out for some Beast race children
-Explore underwater
-Head west generally
-Look into more perk trees
-Detail weather effects

I want you to check out this sweet dungeon, I think it's called Bleak Falls Barrow or something. If that doesn't suit your fancy, talk to the smith in Riverwood.

Ignore other suggestions, they didn't even respond first!

Hahaha, oh god - I'm going to be so sick of that place when the game comes out, I'll be staying well away from there in my demo.

Look for creatures that we don't yet know about, and were not announced. Also, go into a tavern and talk to a bard, or start a barfight, and test those mechanics. If not those, try to find a dungeon other than Bleak Falls Barrow, and explore that. (Don't spend a lot of time in character creation, since we know enough about in my opinion, also it usually takes up a lot of playtime) I recommend to dive right in, and make sort of a hands-on description of what happened during the demo. Thanks, and hope you have fun! :celebration:

EDIT2: Don't forget to see if rain still falls through roofs or not.

Please try and look into the magic perks (specifically destruction), as well as the other race benefits and powers (specifically for high elves and dark elves if you don't mind). I know you can't remember everything but it would be great if you could do these. Thanks

East by northeast gets you to totally new territory sooner than west, tho either would be awesome. I'd like for you to get to a major city (Riften, Markarth Side, or even Whiterun) and get a good feel for its size and population density.

also please try to get to a city and go into a magic store there to learn some new spells that we haven't heard of. Same goes for armor and weapons to tell us how they look,

City! Please go to a city. Also, if you get to see the night at all, check and see if the 3D map is any darker at night. Check out the local maps too. Thanks!
