What a horrible article. Seriously? 80 hour plus add-on? He played FO3 for 130 hours? Seriously?

"In general, Fallout: New Vegas is more of a 80+ hour add-on then a brand new installment."

This, combined with the Megaton, Tenpenny, Slaver triad, make me call BS. Another shoddy bit of journalism. I didn't mind info, but he should brush up on what he writes about a bit better.

Lots of games reuse the same engine, graphics, mechanics and even HUD and inventory and start menus and are still new games.
Why is it so hard for some people to accept that?
Seems like for them to call something new and not an expansion pack it has to be radically different like let's say half-life 1 to half-life 2.
/facepalm at the reviewer

I'm a bit confused, how is the ability to use VATS with a melee weapon something new ?

what's new about it is you get special moves depending on what melee weapon you are using in vats.

Wow...I get a really creepy vibe from this article. :cryvaultboy:

This guy needs some work on his metaphors (also his writing in general).

"This doesn’t make me sad at all; anyone who loved Fallout 3 will love Fallout: New Vegas. Even if it’s just the same gal, she’s wearing a damn sixy new dress."
What's so creepy about this metaphor?
Works quite well actually.

80 hours? How on earth did he come up with that figure? I thought the demo that the devs let them play was like only for an hour or somthing.

It was more the "Only when you start slowly kissing its neck you notice the new earrings that this girl is wearing" which seem kind of creepy and awkward to me.

Well, not technically a bad one, unless this is the new http://imway2fat.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/fat-girl-tight-dress.jpg?w=300&h=400 he is speaking of. Because I think he played a different FO3 than I did...

130 hours is weak for a game like Fallout 3, but better than the other guy who only played Fallout for 30 hours (which he thought was an accomplishment I guess...)

Hmm didn't read that part, just skimmed through it and read about 2/3, must've missed it.
I think he needs to get himself a girlfriend.
Any volunteers?

I read that article when I got up this morning and the whole time I wanted to choke the guy who wrote it while simultaneously slapping him with my other hand :bonk:
lol

There are like 3 or 4 other new articles but they're all basically clones of each other except without the 80hr thing

:P So much hate towards this guy, You cant hate him just for the fact that he's quite obviously stupid :)

Let him think what he wants about New Vegas, I still can't wait for it, this article has just made me want it even more, so i can prove people like this wrong (among the many other things i want the game for)

Terrible Article, People who commented were quite possibly more [censored] than the article's author.

Wow extremely bad article New Vegas is not an expansion. The only news I got out of that is if you shoot a Powder Granger grunt you gain local favor with the village, which that would be obvious since the Grangers aren't happy with Goodsprings.

To be fair to the guy, it might have been his first review or something. Didn't really tell me anything I didnt already know though. I think the 80 hour thing was a personal guess and not an actual fact.
