Loved both of these...Couple points to add to the semi confirmed list

both edits form thisismyjoystick

"While Oblivion’s character creation screen offered lots of choice, Skyrim manages to raise the bar. You still have the same options from Oblivion such as complexion, distance between the eyes, scars and fur colour. In Skyrim, however, you can also add weight to your character (fat, sluggish tigers FTW!) and war paint/dirt to a character’s face. You can also adjust the height of your character, and their overall size. That’s just scratching the surface." multiple body stlyes love it

and the bad : (
"However, while the game seems to tease perfection, it does bring about some technical hiccups. Like Oblivion, I did notice an excessive number of loading screens. You can expect a data intensive game like Skyrim to load a lot, but it felt as if they were as lengthy as those in Oblivion. Perhaps I noticed this more because I was on borrowed time, but it didn’t make it any less frustrating."

Load Times Never bothered me between cells ex.town to town, fast travel, dungeons, but the free roam loading across a plain is what killed me from morrowind hope this does not return.

Do like the detail of the npc and the body language details

Is it generally considered that the loading screens are only as bad as they are because it is in 'Alpha' build?

Well, loading times on consoles are usually longer than on the PC. So I don't think loading screens will be bothering me.

dont we get to play around with objects during loading now? Should be less frustrating than the oblivion pics. The fat slider - wonder if he means bulky?

Thanx :) but wait... I never noticed cell loading in the wilderness in MW/OB. I mean that would be really annoying. Was it like that on the consoles?

Yea 3D objects that we can rotate on the loading screens now. Also remember that loading times are always worked on leading up to release and this wasn't even a beta build.

There's no height slider. One mistake makes the whole article look bad.

"Unlike Oblivion where you could run around and catch your enemy with a sly blow now and then, the enemy actually knows how to block this time, and will adjust to your fighting style. Basically, if you’re not adopting some form of strategy in Skyrim, you’re liable to be left for dead."

I love how people quoted the load time issue, which came very far AFTER the quote I made above. Really? Let's all focus on the negative, instead of posting ALL the new details...

Tech question for those knowledgeable about PCs. I am assuming, that if I buy a new computer with an SSD, and load Skyrim onto said SSD it would lessen, or (hopefully) virtually negate "on-the-run" load times?

Just wondering if you'd expect such results. Hypothetically of course as we cannot know until release.

That's very good news. Reminds me of Risen's awesome combat system.

You don't need an SSD. There's no "otr" on PC's. Not that I know of or experienced anyway.

This one was much more critical of the textures and screen tearing. All 360 users should read it.

Anyway, thanks a bunch for the links, OP! :D

I just read the "Skyrim on Eurogamer hand's on, balls deep"

This is what passes for "journalism" in the digital age? As he put it "WTF?"

I thought that there was no height bar? I hope this is correct.

"has wowed audiences when shown previously on PC. We went hands-on with the game to find out if it still makes such a strong impression – and discovered some potential issues with the Xbox 360 version."

I was under the impression that all demoed footage of Skyrim has been the 360 version, so when did they see the PC demo?
