Britain probably would have activated their high tech missisle shield to block out the nukes, the only reason tenpenny left britain is because he had such a stupid stereotypical accent and had no friends because of it.

but really i'd love to see britain in fallout or atleast more references to it, if it was nuked liverpool wouldn't have changed a bit

You obviously misunderstood what NATO actually is. It is a defence alliance formed in 1949 to deter the expansionist Soviet Union and if the deterence should not had worked, to have posed a big enough military power to effectively fight the Soviet Union's military forces in Europe.

... snip ...

I can't agree with alot you posted here, its very idealistic and puts far too much faith in the words of treaties - which do not survive the first minutes of most wars. There too many assumptions in this rebuttle, but at least in the last line you cast some sense into the fact that the US might not even be a NATO member. To avoid the flame war, I'll just stick to my original post in that there is Nothing about the fallout world that confirms or denies NATO's existence and leave it at that for this forum.

It would be full of craters.

Wondering what happened to Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Don't think they got hit. We have some shelters inside mountains in norway so its people alive in Norway i think. But i want to see a fallout game based in Europe.

Britain would almost certainly be destroyed, it's such a tiny country I'm sure one Nuke could take it out. :nuke:

But yeah, Beth wouldn't base a game in Europe, there's no Vaults!

Those certainly aren't Vaults though are they?

Fallouts' "Signature" if you will, are Vaults.

They've been in every game, In fact, every game has Started in them.

Yep. Fallout 2 started in Arroyo not in a Vault ;-) Which was highly cool if you ask me.

There are surely no Vaults or Vault-Tec in Europe but there could be comparable shelters where people and technology may have survived.
I think the Fallout Franchise isnt ready for such a drastic departure from the established plot yet. Especially not after the 10 year "on ice" status and so many new fans just entering the Fallout world since F3.

But , who knows, maybe at some point after the release of New Vegas and Fallout 4 plus some careful prepared teasers for such a plotline in these two games... we could see a Fallout game which centers around a whole different continent in the Fallout Universe. Just dont expect that to happen in the coming 5 years or so. ;)

MOTHERSHIP ZETA!! HAMMERED DRUNK!!!

I still refuse to accept this as part of the canon :D Its a easteregg/tongue in cheek DLC for me and i shall say NI ! to anyone who claims its 100% canon for as long as it takes to make him cry. :D

Canon, or you could also say Fallout lore = A official integrated part of the Fallout universe and with that tied to its plotlines timeline aswell as future content etc.

The Brotherhood of Steel for instance is canon, Vault 0 from Fallout Tactics is not canon which means it is treated as "never existed in future Fallout games.
The aliens were so far only part of eastereggs in Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 but not really part of the canon. Just funny things hidden as randon encounters in the games to make players laugh but they did not really exist or had any significance in the overall Fallout universe.

Maybe Bethesda decided to change that now, dont know , maybe they will say something to that in a future interview but the majority of Fallout fans would not like that at all and propably not accept it. I wouldn't. I like the aliens as part of a ongoing Fallout franchise running gag but thats it.

So i really hope that they make Mothership Zeta a funny easteregg DLC with a non-canon plot on its own without any connection to the rest of the Fallout world or the fans will pull the emergeny brake and reject to accept it as canon to save Fallout from total trash pop culturification. (Does such a word exist ?) LOL

Actually, Fallout Tactics is semi-canon, and we don't know exactly which parts of the game Bethesda will incorporate in future titles. They did mention the Midwestern Brotherhood in FO3.
