Yo, I just played on 3 European servers for about an hour and literally every death was due to a SCAR w/laser or possibly a red dot.

So I want to know, are there any Europeans out there who don't use the SCAR as their primary weapon?

I think I can speak for all Europeans when I say absolutely not. They have been known to use Marshall+Silencer+ME+SE+Spacebar, SDub! Jeez.

I'm not upset by it, I'm just surprised. There's an unspoken rule, I think..

I used the MK70 but noticed the scar is much more precise and kills faster. So I now use the scar again.
Did some try with the jackal wich has a high firerate, but had some problems due to reload in the middle of the battle...

Im nearly all Scarab or DSG.

I would shotgun but I dont have any more spaces for builds
and its sooo hard to choose what not to use now

Well wasn't there a fairly big Crysis Wars community in Europe?

I use the SCAR with a reflex sight and a Hologram decoy for my assault class. I did try the SCARAB a few days ago so I could equip a silencer but found it didn't stop people near as well as the SCAR. I've also just re-unlocked the MIKE and have been playing around with that just for fun.

Other loadouts incorporate the Marshall and the DSG.

Its always the scar even in bf3 - engineer + scar = sick

Kicked some idiots from my server because of massive (squad wise) scar laser sight spamming - but I wont admin my server. If you want to play this game any further stop using this ****, otherwise you only get boring, repetitive matches.

At the moment i'm using MK60 Mod + Reflex + Extended Clip / Scar + Reflex + Hologram + L-TAG / Grendel + Reflex / Jackal + Reflex + Extended Clip / Scar + Reflex + Hologram + DSG-1 + Sniper Scope

I used to play alot with Scarab + Silencer + Lasersight + Stealth class.. but that got boring.

For me Scar is the best weapon in this game, u can do close range kills very good with it. Also long range kills work nice if u just tap the mouse many times. Its very precise if u compare it to a scarab wich spreads the bullets in a big area. And scar is even better the nthe FY.

The another difference between scar and scarab is this:

When you hold mouse button, SCAR spread is smaller than scarab. And if you press mouse buttong several times, the same result.

BUT! SCARab with laser do the same, just with higher RoF, unless equiped with silencer. Just harder to play. Don't work with reflex sight etc.

I'm not using SCAR w/laser. It's a slightly unbalanced option, although not necessarily the be-all and end-all of Crysis 2 gaming. Whilst it sounds a little arrogant to say so, I have MVP in 63% of my games (576MVP) without having ever used that build (to date). That said, I'm tempted to try it now to see what it's like first hand

My usual build atm uses the FY71 from the map pack. I bought it relatively recently and before that I used the Feline. I must say though, that I'd have happily paid twice the price of a mappack for a Punkbuster patch/addition, and I suspect many other players feel the same.

Anyway, back to the SCAR w/dot thing: I would like to see it toned down a bit in a patch, if there ever is one.

You know I don't use that losersetup, and neither do any from Flawless. Not out of convenience but out of principle.

Scar is the second most powerful weapon in the game(after fy71) but its the laser sight that makes it pretty much op. You cannot ever win a 1v1 gunfight against scar+laser with things being equal. Just no way, accuracy is ridicilous. I admit its very boring to play with just one kit, but its much more annoying to get killed just because i dont use laser sight. Still, my favorite wep is Kvolt, damage is very low and its weak in short range brawling but is fun to play with.

I think you're right, most players using Scar+laser because of that exploit (no recoil, faster ads...).
I got killed by that combo across Liberty map while sniping that guy lol xD

but I'm more Feline-Jackal-DSG user.
Scarab is not working for me somehow :/ there's something weird about it, too much recoil, or something
