To Europeans: After you've gotten the game will you tell us

Post » Tue Aug 30, 2011 8:31 pm

By the time 11-10-11 (10-11-11 for Europeans) comes around, I won't be able to wait for midnight. Can someone please play the game for a bit and tell us Americans on the forums what it's like?

Nein! You must buy the game and arrive at your own conclusions!

Seriously though, it's Skyrim. Do you really need anyone else to tell you what it's going to be like?

actually, could you not? you'll be doing something other than playing Skyrim, which is what you should be doing. so as a personal request, don't do what you shouldn't be doing, and instead do what you should be doing and doing a favor to those that are waiting to start doing what we should be doing and not doing what we should not be doing
now, what am I not doing again?

on a serious note, it might be better not to spoil anything. unless you think that we're all going to die at 4 in the afternoon

Well, I'd like to know if all the mechanics being removed have a major impact from the beginning and if the PC version has graphically improved over Oblivion.

I'll probably be too busy playing the game to be posting what its like for you guys, sorry brah. If I find I have time, sure I will.

If you're looking for a way to speed up the passage of time on release day so you get the game sooner, try knocking yourself out with chloroform. Should stop you from being bored for several hours.

Seriously? I thought we were behind!

I'll probably be too busy playing. By the time I come back on the forums to post my thoughts, you'll be finshed with the main quest...... Six times.

I would like to counter with this argument:

To all you dirty Europeans who get the game earlier than us: STAY OFF THESE FORUMS (in a Harrison Ford in Air Force One voice). Don't spoil it for the rest of us.

I'll be avoiding the forums like the plague then, anyways.

This is getting a bit desperate and besides I doubt a single person from Europe will be on the forums, they'll be too busy playing Skyrim to post.

Or you could always come over to Europe to get it early

I'm in England and getting the game at midnight. I'll play it for a bit then come on here and you can just ask any question. Why is it coming out in Europe before the US? I thought Bethesda is in the US?

What I hope is that someone does a sort of "The first 15 minutes of Skyrim". Which is a video of, you guessed it, the game from the beginning for the first 15 minutes. I remember seeing someone do that for Fable III, When I pre-ordered it, and had to wait an extra month to get the game. (Damn, why did they have to hype up the game so damn much?) Anyway, if anyone Europeans are willing to do this, I'd be very happy.

I don't have a capture card or anything but I can film the first 30-45 minutes off-screen if you all feel it's worth doing?

Uh, I imagine they'll still be playing. Or sleeping after playing, considering how midnight releases go.
