evading a terrible hangover?

first off, I apologize for any mistakes and stuff!

I went out today and am already [censored]faced like hell (it is only 3 am here). Most of my friend have already bailed on me and are back at their place. I've kept on drinken because drinks where just 1 euro each and I had like 50 euro's to get rid off.

I've seen the girl I'm terrible in love with was at the same place as me. together with her boyfriend. it made me even drink more because.... I think ya'll will understand.

anyway, I'm back. almost in my bed and was wondering if any of you have any advice on how to evade a hangover the morning after because I should starts studying. Maybe take an aspirine or two before heading to bed? drink some sprite?aquarius?or water? something else? i don't know?

Or maybe don't get drunk on an empty stomach. Make sure you drink some water before/during or whatever.

I was usually pretty fortunate in avoiding them when I still drank. That said, I usually drank plenty of water prior to passing out for the night, and almost always ate some food before heading off to bed. Surely aspirin couldn't hurt, but I would think you might want to save that for the next day.

Also, i case nobody has mentioned it, Do not go "The hair of the dog" method the next day. I tried this once, and regretted it. Sure, after the first few (which tasted like absolute [censored]) the hangover went away, but came back even stronger the next day.

But, my best advice for avoiding them, is to never get to the point where you'll have one. Know when to stop before you get there.

I really am not that much with: " don't drink that much!"! already passed that stage! I drank too much! that much is clear! I just wish I never crossed her and her boyfriend. terrible enough!

now you guys have my longing for a kebab! I think I'm going to look for one! 15 past 3am! there should be one open! time to put my clothes back on!

AKA: get drunk all over again the next day. This is a terrible method of attempting to avoid a hangover. All it really does is postpone it to the next day, but then you might be tempted to try it again...and again...and again. A slippery slope to be avoided.

I usually raid my kitchen and drink a lot of water or gatorade after a night of heavy drinking before bed. I don't take any pills until the next morning and it's usually ibuprofen (which isn't the best combined with alcohol but it's the only pain pill that works for me).

i have some aspirine, neurofen and ibuprofen! I have also started raiding the fridge! the hunger is getting the upper hand but a kebab is a bit too far from mee.so I'll just put on an episode of a serie and stuff myself with food and next morning take some pills.man I wish I just would've stayed off the jenever! I am so gonna regret this tomorrow!

to add something positive to the thread! I danced tonight! with other women. I've actually managed to make human contact! it's not that hard! you just grab them (however you think is alrigh and dance with them to the sound of the music! they'll like you for having the balls to do so :D

Drink lots of water (or sports drinks like Gatorade); dehydration makes the effects of a hangover much worse. Also have a bite to eat (to slow the alcohol absorption), and try to sober up a little bit before going to sleep.

You need to hydrate with some sort of salty drink, like gatorade, tomato juice or a soup that contains salt, like pho, ramen, haejangguk, etc.

Fat and salt absorb the alcohol, and water hydrates your brain again.
And if you have any multi-vitamin or B complex vitamins, take one.

Fresh air helps too. Go for a walk around the block.

OT, I've evaded hangovers by doing an all-nighter and letting the alcohol wash itself out of me. Of course that wrung-out feeling post-drink and the tiredness were probably worse than the hangover. :lmao:

I've never actually had a hangover, myself, even though I've drunk myself into a stupor several times. :3 Just drink a LOT of water and eat some noms, too.

Make yourself puke a couple times, chug a bunch of water then eat some Menudo, Pork Rinds & drink a Red Bull mixed with Clamato. Trust me I'm experienced in these matters I ued to hang with Stacey Jax.
