I've bought Crysis 2 a few days ago, i had SP fine but MP it's impossible to play.
After acessing the MP, i choose Quick Match, and then Team Instant Action and all that stuff, it finds a session, but a empty session, i'm the only one there. There's a message above saying "Waiting for 5 more players", and they never show up, so i never play.
Before choose Quick Match there's a message on the top of the screen saying "Attention: News server is currently unavailable".
I don't know what to do. I've already sign up in mycrisis, i'm writing in this account, but in the PS3, it doesn't recognise that.
Please Help!

Hmm, thats strange. Im not sure what the problem would be.
It has to do something with your internet connection as i find matches really quick.

My internet connection it's not the greatest i've ever seen, but i have already played Black Ops MP for months and had not even a problem with anything, so i don't think that's the problem source..
It finds sessions very quick, but are always empty sessions, noone is in there, except me.

PS: When i say i'm there alone, i'm still waiting for players to the match begin, i'm not playing in some map alone.

Now i'm really confuse, i've tried Crysis 2 MP on my PS3, but in a buddy of mine home, he haves an excelent internet connection, and still having the same problem, then i thought must be the Disc has something wrong, so, the store give me another Crysis 2 and now i tried the MP, and for more strange it looks, still having the same problem again.
So where's the problem? in the account?

How long do you wait for? I usually end up in a room on my own then eventually it will join a running session. Patience is key, the online community is quite small now so you just have to wait it out. Also add people from the forum it's easier to get games then. Hope this helps!

to find a session? 10 seconds. To enter in a game? i've already waited half an hour and nothing.

Try this thread it has lots of people on it just put crysis 2 in the frind request bit so people know where your from. Some people may have stopped playing though. You can add me as well PSN: brapski.

I do always get a match with no problems, i can't understand why some of you guys have this problem...
Maybe it is the nat type, should give a try ...
there is the firewall thing to, if you use a wired connection from your pc

i had play with ppl from all over the world with no problem: russia, france, italy, england, portugal...and many others, so there's always somebody to play with...

omoiwhiteknight, before this happen to me, i would say the same, believe it.
I'm portuguese and i've played several games in MP without any trouble, and this game, doesnt give me any chance, im pretty sure that's the NAT type.
I've already open ports, do the connection by Ethernet cable, give PS3 a static IP, followed lots of toturials "NAT 3 to 2", and any one of these have gived me NAT type 2, unless by simply do the costumized configuration and choose to activate UPnP, in that case it gives me NAT type 2, but still gives me the same problem, and if i disable the UPnP, it gives me the NAT 3 again. What's very strange, for what i've seen, UPnP not imply/change the NAT type.
I don't know what problem could be, the only thing i can't point now would be the router (Speedtouch 585v6)..
I've tried too to add PS3 to the DMZ but my router have not that option.
This is usually to be so hard getting NAT 2 or that's just with me?

I just can tell about me... for me i got nat 2 and since then never had change, even after taking out the ethernet cable to use the wireless it's still fine to play.

Yes exactly. Plus the fact that its 7 months old, but the game never really got alot of traction. Plus i really think the PSN going down for so long really hurt this game, plus the long wait for patches .

Added to the glitchiness and the perception of more lag is the game itself. Crysis 2 recquires more patience to get good at it than the other main online shooter.

Some people will disagree, but I really think cloak puts people off this game. Seeing cloakers takes a bit to get used to as well. i don't want cloak removed from Crysis 3, but its got to be nerfed in terms of how far/fast you can travel in cloak

A new Crysis 2 player will likely get shot in the back numerous times by players they couldnt see over and over until they adjust. Alot of people just weren't willing to put that effort in for a game they see as laggier and glitchier and basically half baked compared to others on the market.

plus, everyday day I play mp, a few matches freezes to change the host (the reason can be many), and that take out the fun sometimes, once it has freezes 4 times in just ONE match.

I wouldn't call it 'half-baked' but for example, i almost never have any glitches on cod black ops, except for some annoying lags everyonce in a while. They're really only annoying depending on the situation. But crysis 2 multiplayer could be SO much better.
