Even more races?

Post » Mon Oct 03, 2011 3:53 pm

There's always been ten Playable races in the elderscrolls and control most of tamriel. Now what about some of the more secretive races like the alyeid or maormer. The alyeid have disappeared but there's chance that some tribes are still living in tamriel. Obviously this wouldn't be included in skyrim, but what are your thoughts of adding new playable races to tamriel such as the alyeid or maormer??

Nope. Ten is more than enough. I want to use every race but know there isn't enough diversity for all those playthroughs.

10 is more than enough, and those other races would be hard to properly implement.

The former are rarely seen and the latter are just plain almost as dead as the Dwemer.

Aylieds were just Altmer that inhabited the Heartland of Tamriel. Maomer I'm not so sure about, but all Mer descend from the Aldmer apparently, I doubt there's really anything different about the Maomer that hasn't happened already to say, the Bosmer.

Dunmer and Orsimer are in a unique category though, since they're "Cursed".

The only viable new race to introduce would be the Imgar, unless they want to retconn the series.

I think they should make a game set in Akavir with the Akaviri races (obviously the actual place wouldn't be as wacked out and psychotic as teh Tamrielans think it is)

Dunmer and Orsimer are in a unique category though, since they're "Cursed".

The Dunmer were their own race before they were cursed anyway.

Maybe it's just me looking for a middle ground elf between altmer and bossier more like a lotr elf. But whose to say that just because there won't be any alyeids around you couldn't be a "dovakhiin". And maybe not having maormer as a Playable race but their culture would be new to the series being using magic to control serpents

may as well try an bring back the dwemer and falmer as well shoot y stop there lets bring in the 4 akivir races and the monkeys that loves altimers so much. Heres a better idea lets try to encourage the devs to make the ten races that currently excist play differently from one another.

Dwemer are gone. Only one exists, and he's diseased, in Morrowind.

Falmer are confirmed in-game. Like the most rare and hostile creature you could find deep in the darkest caves, and such.... They sounded pretty frightful.

Exist*

I hope they have a cool Falmer quest line that end up with the Falmer coming out and joining everyone or something. Then in the next game they could be playable.
