Is it even worth it?

Just checked in to see if the patch was ready for xbox but found out its out thursday, not too much longer then.
Unfortuantly i decided to check how the new patch is fairing on pc and ps3 and it makes grim reading indeed.
Framerate still gets bad after a while and people are saying some old bugs are still there along with new ones!
I will give it a try for myself when its out but it really does look like ill have to trade it in ( Fable 3 ) for whatever i can get for it. ( Im guessing not much )
At least i have DAO2 at the start of the new year along with ME3 and SKYRIM ( learn from mistakes made please Bethesda ) later on to look forward to, i would bet a large amount that these games respective companies will not release such shoddy work.

To Niptwist, wait until the patch is released, before you try to trade in the game. Believe it or not, I still have faith in Bethesda. :fallout:

Honestly? I am one of the biggest fans of Fallout, I played Fallout 3 for ages, but New Vegas really is trying my patience.
If you haven't bought it wait for the patch, AND wait to see if the patch works. Read some reviews of the patch --If it didn't fix things then we might as well boycott.
This may seem harsh, but I spend more time re-loading save files, searching for lost npcs, and leaving quests half finished from glitches rendering them un-playable.
For the love of all that is holy WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE FINISHED THE GAME BEFORE RELEASING IT !!?!? :cryvaultboy:

It took every ounce of restraint I have not to use profanity here. Honestly. That is how angry this makes me.

I don't really care when the update comes out. I haven't experienced anything in the form of game save corruption or massive game ending quest glitches. I have completed the game and have done most if not all the quests, even the ones that are reported as causing problems. I'm more interested in the fact that now I can use my companions as mobile map markers.

Yeah,well good luck with that.
If you have a look at the PS3 issues thread you will see that there are still problems with disappearing companions post patch. In fact you will see that people are still suffering with numerous issues post patch.
There is no way this game will ever be stable, it's too far gone.
And no amount of free f*****g armour, skill books or anything else will convince me that this game has been anything but a complete and utter waste of time, money and effort for the countless people who have ripped off by this bunch of incompetent fools.

they should just abandon vegas, and stick an ADS update on FO3 and then i play that, because to be honest, apart from a bigger arsenal and extra stuff to do, its the same game but with ADS, accept FO3 can run better without all the bugs...

Oh I do so hope they can fix it without abandoning it... This game will no doubt go down in history of epic fails.

Also, to all workers at Bethesda: downloadable patches will not succeed in fixing this, please just send out a public message of apology and put all of your reserve staff on making a free patch disk and hand it out to anyone who brings their game into gamestop or other locations, possibly even mail it to us, because if you do not remedy this situation - You all will have placed a permanent scar upon your company's reliability.
