Eventful Locations for a Let's Play

Hello!

So I have kind of a relatively small Let's Play series I've been doing where I role-play as a character and kind of stumble clumsily around New Vegas once every week. I have to admit that whenever I play the game normally I tend to gravitate towards the same habits. Usually I build an unarmed combat character and just keep on rolling with it until I can smash deathclaws against each other like they were action figures.

Since the videos are to entertain people, however, my character design and everything I do has been all about ineptitude. I'm trying to finagle my way through the game with dumb luck, cowardice, and terrible skill priorities. The "Press V to enter VATS" message has been at the top of my screen since day one, and I've been speaking in a character voice.

I've got some footage recorded for the future where I accidentally stumbled into a few quests and an unintentional Legion ambush over something I had no stake in, but I'm hoping that maybe somebody can direct me to some interesting places to explore within the game. I'm hoping to find some things that most people might overlook that happen to contain something that would be good to talk about or interact with. Of course, there's also the catch that my character has to be able to survive there.

I thought Vault 22 might be an interesting place to visit, but it wound up falling a touch flat since most of that is combat and the fungus people have a habit of sitting in one place until they're attacked. I'm thinking of maybe making a jump over to Dead Money, since I know that's got some good story and horror elements, but I don't know if my character could live through it. It's kind of a different way of approaching the game by trying to find things that could be made interesting to watch as compared to places I just like to go in a normal day of playing.

So does anybody know some good places to check out that trigger a lot of character interactions or faster events? I'm hoping to avoid another situation where I wind up in a vault, only fighting mobs, just trying to clear a single objective for five straight episodes. That stuff isn't bad for a dungeon crawl, but as a character I run out of silly things to say and wind up nit-picking at the game too much!

Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated!

First off, welcome to the forums!

Have you done any of the quests at Camp McCarran? There's a lot of short quests there without combat and with good dialogue (especially the Centurion POW quest).

You might also want to do some of the quests in Freeside, which are dialogue focused and mostly contained to that area.
