Ever cheat on tests when you were/are in school?

Post » Wed Dec 29, 2010 9:57 am

Yep, I did several times in high school and in college. Never got caught though. Unfortunately real life stuff happened and couldn't study, so friends gave me the answers. Helped them out a few times too. [censored] happens.

You know the best thing about the internet? It has many programs on it that does Algebra for you.

And the best thing about Droid Phones? It has internet.

And the best thing about sitting where I sit? You barely can see what im doing.

Ahhh, Algebra.

Does it count as cheating to look at the test from the teachers computer the day before we were supposed to have it? In that case, our whole class cheated philosophy course 1. :whistling:

cheating in philosophy, doesn't that mean you failed?

Wasn't stupid enough to need to cheat.

same, i didn't even study and i made i earned an award for academic excellence

I did for a Maths exam once, it was just some formulas I couldn't remember at all and I just engraved them on the back of my calculator. Teacher didn't suspect a thing. :shifty:

I wrote down certain management accounting formulas at the back of my calculator. They still show today. That's it really.

I cheated all through high school. If there was a way i could bend the system to benefit me, then I did it. And I did it alot. My senior year was composed of making friends with teachers, cheating, general bull [censored]ting around.

I cheated all the time in high school, on tests and homework. In my Physics class I actually just copied my friend's answers for every test while the teacher was screwing around on the computer. I'm finishing my junior year in College right now, and I can't recall cheating on anything yet, I'm sure there were a few times though. In high school it was mostly on the subjects that I couldn't for the life of me wrap my head around, and didn't have the time/motivation to actually learn the material.

I never cheated. I knew someone in one class who would always look at what other people had done in class to cheat, and then of course when she was sat in the exam hall where you're too far away to see anyone else's papers to copy, and there are moderators overseeing it anyway, she failed miserably. I also knew someone later on who got kicked out of Uni for repeatedly plagiarising.

Ive never cheated on any important tests, but I have some pretty interesting stories. This one kid actually pushed my arm out of the way once to see my answers on a final.

And once, I was in a math class with a couple of guys. Two of my friends had taken the answer sheets and hid them so they could see them when they got down to grab their pencils from the floor. They had dropped their pencils fro about the 20th time, when the teacher yells out "I know your cheating!" The two of them froze, and you shoulda seen their faces. I thought they were screwed, but then the teacher yelled out the names of two OTHER students. It was probably the most hilarious thing ever.

I don't remember cheating on any tests - doesn't mean I didn't, just that my memory is svcky.

I did spend most of my first year of University cutting and pasting from Wikipedia though. It was when it first came out and I'm fairly sure none of my professors had heard about it because I certainly didn't get caught... :whistling:

Don't advocate cheating though. Stay in school kids. :verymad:

I won't go through the details but I actually got a hold of my grade 12 psychology exam. Shared it with a few of my friends.

Most of the class knew I had it too, so when the teacher went to send the attendance list to the office, me and my friends just started blurting out multiple choice answers.

It was so funny.

I purposely received 98% on it.

Why? It was so easy, and your only going to hurt yourself. I do remember one time, where the very poor teacher was handing out answer sheets. She gave me one since I had been missing school, and not understanding trigonometry. So I had the cheat sheet, on the day of the test. It was pretty depressing. Filled it out half way and called it a day, made sure to actually learn Trigonometry (while not the best), I think I've succeeded. Now several years later, I've had a few chances to use Trigonometry, and thank god for learning it. Makes some stuff so much easier.

I have never cheated on tests, but on homework I usually do it with all my friends together. I don't know if that counts as cheating.

It doesn't, unless you're leeching all of the answers off of your friends. If you're all engaged in what you're doing but just helping each other, that's perfectly legit.

And of course I've cheated on homework before. If something is arbitrary but holds a high point value and I have an opportunity to not deal with the crap, then I absolutely will.

Never on a test though. Never had to.

I never cheated on a test. I figured that if I was going to fail, I was going to do it honestly.

Just out of interest, when did you use triganometry. What do you do for a living?

I ask because I promptly forgot it thinking I'd never need it.....and I've been right up to this point. :)

I can answer this one, lots of sciencey stuff, and it's also useful for general DIY stuff, saves so much time instead of trying to do stuff by eye.
