if we ever get a crysis 3

Post » Mon Nov 28, 2011 4:35 pm

yeah i know... maybe i will consider this option in the future .. but for now im fine with the clockspeeds...
I once tried overclocking the Gtx 280... bad bad idea,,,the drivers crashed and i ha to restart the whole system as the card lowered its clockspeeds after crashing.... so im kinda pvssy when it comes to OC.

http://www.tweakpc.de/hardware/tests/grafikkarten/gainward_geforce_gtx_570_phantom/s14.php

the result would even surpass the 580 easily ..but the voltage would have to be increased ( but my PSU has only 600 Watt)

And it would be likely 6 FPS more in some games,,, thats no so much.

Hurm, if they are designing for the next two years release, then I guess this is the right time for planning and designing the game before they committed to the developmet process.

Although some are already in the game, but heres my list of thoughts that I wish to see in Crysis 3:

Playable character design:

-nanosuit 1 function and control/improve control for console version
-dedicated unarmed as in crysis 1 and stealth kill as in crysis 2
-ledge grabing and object kicking as in crysis 2
-more interaction and animation, such as opening car door, hand gesture binoc zooming, using -terminals for hacking
-playable character will show more social skills but nothing like conversation interactivity.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

single player gameplay and levels

-huge and open as in S.T.A.L.K.E.R series (help improves replayability)
-multiple way to solve/attack
-driveable civilian & military or aliens ? for land, sea & air vehicles either mission related or just gameplay.
-urban, jungle and alien environments: radiations and biological hazard, extreme weather conditions, zero-g and space?
-more destructable environment by enemy weapons or player action.
-more team/squad based plan/actions interaction such as taking out multiple objectives, defending, attacking.(online coop?)
-decision making?
-more npc interactions.
-more story telling through gameplay not only cutscenes.
-various types of enemies and factions, such as aliens, foreign or corporate, and zombies/mutant.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Multiplayer Design (more multiplayer focus because that is what keeps the game alive)

-nanosuit 1 function
-perks ONLY will improve nanosuit fuctions such as improve speed mod energy consumption for movement, melee or weapon's handling such as aiming and

reloading, stealth enhancement for longer and more stealthier, reduce energy consumption in power mod for using melee or weapon recoil control, nanovision

functions.
-mp ranks leveling for perks and weapons and mods unlocks such as COD series and BF3
-more weapons mods and attachements.
-perks for vehicular functions such as in battlefield 3

-64/32/18 players for maps and gameplay design
-online coop in story mode or zombies/mutants survivor
-power struggle, death matches, objectives such as vip, capture or destroy modes
-huge, large and small maps.
-vehicular combats and close and fast action infantry only combats.

-rock, paper and scisssors weapons for specific use

such anti infantry, anti tanks, anti air.
balance long range, medium range and short/close quarter weapons design.
infantry vs infantry
infantry vs tanks
tanks vs heli
heli vs infantry

-dedicated server and files for both consoles and pc
-mods and custom contents available for both consoles and pc
-MP only DLC.
-crossplatforms experience as addition if possible?

Overall I jst hope Crytek can show more passion in their game making especially in cysis series. I have noticed the level of passion they put into the first one compare to crysis 2. Crysis 1 is like one in a million to me.

Take your time crytek, design this for the next gen consoles with more powerfull hardware and lesser limitations.

As far as implementing stealth kills go, imo they shouldn't have the auto-aim they have in Crysis 2. Doing them should require you to be right up close behind the enemy, and if you don't hit the button directly within the right angle, you won't get the stealth kill.

I do think we need a character capable of speech though; Nomad and Psycho struck a perfect balance of speaking when necessary for the purposes of the plot, without speaking so much as to distance us from assuming their role.

Crysis Wars was pretty damn similar to the Battlefield series, yet added its own personality to multiplayer. Crysis 2 is more similar to a technically and creatively inferior franchise.

Considering that in the very simplest of terms there are two extremes of MP FPS structure (CoD-style and BF-style) it would be nice to have the open maps and vehicles associated with BF-style gameplay rather than the decidedly more claustrophobic surroundings of Crysis 2.

I can see why Crytek deviated from the Crysis Wars forumla, but it clearly hasn't worked out all that well.

So taking the best aspects from both Crysis and Crysis 2, here is what I would want Crysis 3 to be like (I'm basing this off probably impossible specs even for a next gen console, but hey some of us dream big).

From Crysis
-Bring back the prone and foilage cover, I really love this feature and IMO it provides for a better stealth system than in Crysis 2
-Bring back destructible buildings and open environments (even if it's just another island or another jungle somewhere)
-Bring back Zero-G levels! That was pretty awesome. Also wouldn't mind seeing another snow section
-Allow users to sprint indefinitely! Also while on the subject, people should be allowed to grab enemies and hold them indefinitely. I dunno why Crysis 2 altered this
-Vehicles! Crysis 1 has them in almost every level, while Crysis 2 had like 2 levels with vehicle use (which was just that tank). A huge missed opportunity, but then again I guess NYC wouldn't be the place to rely on vehicles 24/7
-Picking up weapons. This is the last thing I can think of. I liked needing to kill enemies and pick up their ammo, versus finding conveniently placed ammo crates everywhere. I hardly used more than a few weapons in Crysis 2, but in the first game I used just about all of them my first playthrough because I was always searching for ammo (plus it gives you an excuse to explore the game map)

From Crysis 2
-Nanosuit functionality. For the most part I want Crysis 3's nanosuit to operate just like it does in the 2nd game with the exception of holding onto enemies for a limited time and not being able to sprint indefinitely. Everything else was done better in the 2nd game as far as the suit functions go
-Story/epic. If there's anything Crysis 2 did better than the first, it was telling an engaging story. In Crysis 1 I didn't really care what was going on and just wanted to kick some ass, but in Crysis 2 I was compelled to play through the game just because of the captivating plot. Also seeing NYC fall apart in every level just added to the surrealism of everything. I really hope this epic storytelling follows suit in the 3rd game and that the story arc comes to an incredible climix (I have faith that it will)

Outside of those two thinga, I don't think that Crysis 2 really did a whole lot for the series. I do owe it my thanks, for I would not be a Crysis fan today if it wasn't for the fact that it was released on consoles. So thank you Crytek! And thanks for releasing C1 on consoles! My respect for you guys just keeps climbing.

Finally, I will talk about things I want in Crysis 3 that don't pertain to the previous titles specifically

-More variety to levels. Crysis 1 did this well, Crysis 2 kinda stuck to a general theme but still provided unique areas. I hope Crysis 3 has more than one "setting", so maybe in one moment your on the city streets of NY while in the next you fly to some jungle in Africa or something. Point is, Crysis 3 should have as much scenic playfields as it possibly can
-More suit functions. Crysis 2 already did a commendable job with adding the air stomp, slide tackling and ledge grab, but there is still more room for improvement. I hope in the 3rd game that the air stomp is a default option and you don't have to select it as an exclusive to your nanosuit like you did in the 2nd. Also when you grab enemies, you should be able to punch them. I heard one of the Crysis games on PC did this (unless it was in both) but in the console version of Crysis you can't, which is why I made this point a separate argument.
- Lastly, and this is really shooting for the stars, I would love to see a co-op mode, and preferably I would love to see Alcatraz teaming up with Nomad. That would be really cool Crytek! Even if it is a just a survival mode where you play as nanosuit soldiers, I know that would probably mean it being exclusive to online/system link play, but it would still be awesome!

Vehicles are the main reason why I like Crysis and Warhead. A year ago when Crysis 2 was coming out I was looking forward to something similar for the singleplayer and at the time Multi-player that Crysis and Warhead brought to the table in terms of vehicle use. Because in Crysis and Warhead I would use the vehicles as a distraction which has been shown in one of the trailers for Warhead where a player plants c4 on the back of the gas tank and then drives it over a cliff and it lands in the middle of the KPA placement camp and he detonates it as a distraction for getting inside.

I never used vehicles in Crysis 1 because I enjoyed the scenery so much that I decided to get from point A to point B by foot. I did like that tank level though.
If we ever get a Crysis 3 I want it to be like Crysis 2 and not like Crysis 1. That's pretty much all I want.

I did like that tank level though.

Agreed. Since I've got the 9800 nvidia graphic card in August I did a playthrough that level and I found myself getting more immersed while in that tank than I did running around in speed mode. I managed to make it last to the train station. But while I played it was refreshing and an eye opener. To quote what Jester said in the Nvidia promo.

I want a crysis 1 approach but with crysis 2 graphics.
I think you should play as nomad and that miss Hargreaves also gets a nano suit and you make a new team with psycho nomad Alcatraz etc.
Include sandbox and engine to make maps and games ON DISK!!
Directx11.
And just the freedom of crysis 1. Oh and one more thing and I'm gonna get hate mail for this.
No console, so pc doesn't get any stupid bugs like 'press start'
My ideal crysis.

I personally think Alcatraz needs to be the star protagonist of Crysis 3, not Nomad. I love Nomad and I actually prefer him to Al, but Al is the centerpiece of the story now and it would be a bad move on Crytek to ignore that. I do still want to see Nomad in the game, and if they incorporate him as being a playable character somewhere along the way then that would be even more sweet.

and I'm sorry but one little bug like that shouldn't justify depriving us console gamers from experiencing Crysis 3! Crytek wouldn't hear the end of it if they made it a PC exclusive.

yh guess your right.
but yeah i would definitly make them both playable...at some piont.
I think they shoukd definitely make more environments to play in the story...(maybe return to the island where it all started to finish it?
I would like to see bothe the origional and the newer versions of the aliens in Crysis 3 and please bring back the weapons from Crysis.
but FBI_shogo you must admit it was a mistake going for the COD approach to crysis 2 MP. keep with the origional Crysis mp system.

Well, seeing as I've never even played the MP for the original Crysis I can't really comment, but I will say that I do tend to enjoy games like BF multiplayer (aka Crysis 1) as opposed to CoD like what Crysis 2 did. That being said, I feel like Crysis was meant for more open ended combat versus pitting players in smaller maps. I do enjoy the MP in Crysis 2, but I miss the open ended world from the first game, so hopefully for Crysis 3 it will feel more like a more awesome version of Halo with full vehicle support, stealth, and everything else that a Crysis game should have to offer.

crysis 3 should be pc only.Crysis 1 was fully pc it was a work of art that crashed computers and forced people to wait years before they could play it on full graphics. And why all the complaints about Crysis 2 it was amazing the suits passive power mode was so much better than Crysis1. and the ability to modify your suit to fit your playing style was amazing everything seemed smoother and the graphics were great. And yes vehicles are cool but sometimes its better just hunkering down to the nitty gritty warfare of infantry. The story was so much better too it was great from the beginning and has intrigued me time and time again i must have played campaign 10 times already. And don't get me started about crysis 1 on consoles i cant believe crytek would ruin art by putting it on pc and then the console players have the nerve to brag? if they have to wait 4 years to get a game on console that came out in 2007 which by the way has been cut down to fit in the console i think thats something to be ashamed of not proud. i don't care if you hate mail me i welcome it.

I like how Crysis 2 did killstreaks - no crap like the chopper gunner, they were really nothing more than minor rewards for good play - so long as the devs don't put serious time into them that could have been spent enhancing some meaningful aspect, they might as well stay. I would love vehicles to be added, so long as they're in specific playlists. Halo is the only shooter this generation that's managed to both implement vehicles fully and keep the arena feel going, it's very easy to mess up. A map editor would be sweet, but to be honest I'd rather they spent the time making a better campaign.

Crysis 3:
Co-op Campaign
Better multiplayer (more gametypes)
Amazing campaign (like always) but hopefully a long one
sixy graphics
All-Platform Sandbox mode after you finish the campaign
100% New storyline with same characters
This game will **** ON ALIENWARES!!!!!

Thats what i think of crysis 3.
any comments?
