Ever Play an Elder Scrolls Before? (Poll)

Post » Sun Mar 09, 2014 11:48 am

Had to make this poll. A lot of feed back is coming from peoples previous Elder Scrolls encounters, and I for one, have never played a single one. ESO is only one that truly caught my eye.

Only played the last three, not a die hard fan.

I've only played Skyrim and Oblivion and they were pretty good games.

Same here. I loved playing Morrowind the most out of the three.

Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. I didn't play much of Oblivion though... never could get into it.

Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim and all of their expansions. I didn't play the others; though I'm neck deep in the history and lore.

That's how my kid is with the lore. He was having huge issues watching me play beta saying this wasn't proper with the lore or this faction should be wearing this. Just a bunch of crap, I was like "What ever kid I don't care" lol.

I have played all TES games, even some spin-offs like the awesome Redguard. I did not play the mobile phone game though.

If daggerfall was remade it was the best of the series. But for me the game was plagued by bugs and lock ups. I never finished it back in the day. These days it is to old to replay. So for me Morrowind was the best experience.

In this order but overlapping play sessions.

Oblivion - 1500 hrs

Morrowind - 500 hrs

Arena - 20 hrs

Daggerfall - 20 hrs

Skyrim - 5000 hrs

played oblivion and skyrim mostly (both over 2000 hours spent). I really tried to like Morrowind, i wanted to like it sooooooo badly, but i just couldn't. I think it's because i never really played other games then racing games and platform games in that time and age, so i played my first RPG on the PS1 (Guardians Crusade) then later FFXII on the PS2. I got my first own pc at the age of 18, which is only a mere 4,5 years ago, before that i never played on the pc. perhaps it's just too old for me, but i want to like it so bad and i can't.... :'(

to the OP, i can't vote because extremely biased poll

Is this poll to be taken literally? I played more than two, but I wasn't here from the beginning. Heck, I wasn't even 1 year old when Arena came out. :P

I've been a fan of the series for the past 20 years, since Arena was new.

I bought Arena before we even had 'the internet' in the UK. (well, a meaningful and affordable mass interpretation of the internet anyway, to split hairs)

I don't feel the accumlitive aspercts of one's gaming resume depicts any level of devotion to the series.

Anyone can become quite the devoted fan and be completely enveloped by the lore alone, without ever loading a version of the game.

The correct answer isn't there for me. I've played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, but not the first two games or any of the spin-offs.

Making me feel old.

Spent more time robbing from merchants and running mage guild quests in Daggerfall than anyone should.

Started with Daggerfall. (The Betony demo) I played Arena afterwards, then Redguard and Battlespire. Morrowind I got into a year or so after it came out because it wasn't like Daggerfall (elitism!). Played Oblivion on release, same with Skyrim.

Played Skyrim and Oblivion... not as much Oblivion though. I also enjoy reading up on the lore behind the games, fun to read and know it. The screenshots of Arena look familiar to me though so there is a chance that I played a little Arena could be just a coincidence though.

My only problem with Daggerfall was that I bought it at release with all it's bugs and in those days I had no way of accessing a patch for it. It's clouded my opinion of it ever since.
