Aw crap! I made a terrible spelling mistake. If it is possible, would a mod like to fix it? :P Thanks a lot! :D

Only when stuck on a game. And even then, it's more like a breaking motion.

I don't really see the point. When I watch TV I don't want to move and bend it around, I want it to be still :P

And I thought roll-out, flat, rubber pc keyboards were cool when they became common.

I could definitely groove on a 50" TV that you could roll up, move, and tack to a wall anywhere in your house with a few pieces of silly putty. Especially when you want to escape a snoring spouse. A little tiny one for my pocket, not so much.

Well yeah, but I think it would be cool to have it strapped on to your arm or something so you wouldn't drop it. Then you could just straighten out to watch it whenever. Or they just wanted to make it to say they made a bend-able TV. :P

A TV show (Earth: Final Conflict) had "Globals" which were all-in-one communication devices. A flexible screen would enable you to open something up and put a large screen into a small device because it can curl up for storage.

I would spend more time trying to get it perfectly straight/flat than actually watching it

I can see the point if you want to curl it up for storage inside a small device to protect it.

The only way I'd buy something like that is if it was like Batman like and when you flicked it out it would go perfectly flat.

Looks sweet! I can't imagine what that's going to cost though, seeing how a http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/review/2010/08/26/LG-15EL9500/p1 goes for a kidney and a half.

I remember years ago reading an article in Time magazine about how cell phones in the future will be nothing more than touch screen, paper thin, flexible strips.

With some nitol wires they could probably make that a reality. The problem is, they're not that flexible yet.

Interesting, but ultimately useless. It'll only become relevant technology when it becomes fully collapsible, so this is just one of the first steps.

Then again, people buy iPads, so stranger things have happened

if it's available to public, it's safe to say the American army had the tehnology at least 3 years before.

Take note ladies. Pretty soon science will have made everything fit nicely in one thin wallet, making giant purses look even sillier. :P Fashion will be your only excuse for carrying such abominations around.
