Every Dungeon

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 7:39 am

I keep having to use UESP to look up dungeons to see if I am interfering in quest. I keep running upon some interesting things, which end up being quest dungeon.

Does anyone know of a dungeon or fort of some sort that isn't tied to a quest?

I'm looking for some exploring fun right now.

I don't think you can mess up any quests by going to a dungeon before you activate the quest. If you find a quest item it will stay in your inventory and you won't be able to sell it or drop it.

My inventory will be a collection of quest items I won't be giving. I have a few items of the thieves guild and this is my "good" hero. So those items are useless.

And yet again another dungeon I find tied to a quest. This is getting kind of annoying.

Some have said picking up a quest item with out the quest bugs it and npc won't acknowledge it. My guess is you can do the dungeon, just leave the quest items alone. If it's a dungeon that is tied to a quest just to clear the dungeon, stay away till you have the quest.

I've messed up a couple of quests by doing that; most recent was the Jarl of Riften's quest. Fixable on the PC by using the command console, but annoying nonetheless.

A lot of the time they will, but the bard's college quests are terrible for wigging out if you get the item first.

I'll back this one up. Found this damn drum like 10 hours in, finally "gave" it in 40 hours later. Currently at 120 hours, still got it.

I know what you mean. It's annoying not to know if the dungeon you enter is quest related or not.
I picked up a couple of those bard instruments too and for some reason the quests won't end, even when I give them the instruments. I also keep the items and can't drop them because they're quest related.

And it svcks because I already have a few items for the thieves guild, the thieves guild I will never join with my good character and I'm stuck with them forever.
