Every time I press play in the launcher the launcher disappears and then comes back after a while and when I press play again the same thing happens. Why is this?

Same thing happened to me.. I posted a support ticket saying "I played earlier today just fine but now when I try to load the launcher a file pops up saying "Performing first time setup... Installing: Microsoft VC redist package (step 1 of 2)" After a few minutes of that the launcher will come up and allows me to press play, but once I press play the launcher closes and the VC redist installer pops back up. I've tried restarting my system many many times. even uninstalled (which I assume made me lose my save..) and re-installed and nothing.." and was redirected to this forum as an "answer"
