Everybody. . .

Post » Tue Feb 08, 2011 10:06 pm

Let's take at look why this is the case:

1. Be who you are.

( Black, White, Asian, A little of everything. . .Be it. Punk rock, gangsta, Anarchist. . .Be it. Hairy, sweaty, beasty monster? Be it. . .)

2. Jackie Chan

(I will walk a wall into you and melee you in your face. Enough said?)

3. Intensity

("Man I need a break after that match!!!!" . . . NOW THAT'S A GOOD GAME!)

4. Sound

(Why do all the sounds sound REAL? Because they are. Yea, the developers spent thousands of dollars on it and it paid off.)

5. ART

(Um yea, does anyone else think the aesthetic element of this game is so original it is beyond comparison?)

6. Weapons

( Not too much recoil, plus all of the attachment goodies that I crave and want.)

7. Objective Gameplay

(You mean I am not just running around chasing XP? Wow. . .GREAT!)

8. BROTHERS IN ARMS

("You saved me earlier man and I appreciate that. BY GOD I WILL SAVE YOU!")

9. FLIP THE SWITCH

("Screw this objective I just want to escort my homie to the bomb site." Sure Boss! Go Ahead! )

10. [nip] THE SYSTEM.

( I AM TIRED OF COD AND BF. GIVE ME FRESH, GIVE ME INNOVATIVE. THANKS SPLASH/BETHESDA!)

LOVE it.

You make me jealous mate. I only had a few hours to play last night, and today I'm at work...Honestly thinking about taking an "extended" lunch break to return home to play.

I'm still waiting as well. Where I've ordered it from have been 'packing' the game for the last 8 hours, just waiting on it being posted!

Amazon have officially posted my EU order.

I could potentially get it the day before the 13th. But more than likely I'll get it on FRIDAY THE 13th and it'll be frighteningly bad. :)

Yeah, this is why I don't preorder hard box games over the net. Always had troubles with this, last time, that made me make the decision to never do it again, was with Age of Conan. Preordered it (said it would arrive for launch), took some time off work so I could get into the game... However, the game, ofcourse, did not arrive on time, nor during my days off, nor the week after, but the week after that! God was I pissed off lol.

ugh

*face palm*

I have a feeling that I am viewed as somewhat of a bad guy. The antagonist, lord sauron, bowser or whatever.

Should this forum be a real world it would be like me trying to explain that the earth is not flat and that you do not fall of the edge should you venture to much towards the horizon. Like in the medieval ages you know.

Blasphemy! Blasphemy!

Burn him on the stake for having an opinion and arguments that are plausible!

Argh...

I know this was kind of a joke post, but you lost me with the first point. There are no female avatars, so it really does fail at "be who you are". I just cannot understand how they could put so much effort into customization yet totally fail at the same time. Im not a woman, and I dont play female characters, but I still count it as a major failure. And this is the kind of game you could get youre not very gamery GF or wife to play because she could just be a Medic and healbot you or something since you dont need to be very good to do well in Brink.

Even Halo Reach has female avatars, lol.

To be fair, I don't think you're a Sauron, or even Saruman...

I DO think that you are being a bit too ardent in your attempt to make everyone else see things that you perceive to be flaws. Understandably, there are concerns. But they are just that... CONCERNS. They may end up being unfounded, mitigated, or intentional. Maps, bots, graphics, what-have-you usually come down to being subjective interpretations of games. Don't let someone else's opinion ruin what could be a great evolution of gaming.

I think the resistance you are seeing is that people want to draw their own opinions without having negative ones being thrown in their face.
