I think somebody in this thread has a very expensive computer and is upset because people can run the game on a toaster .)

That's because it's made with goat guts, goats have tough guts therefore the string is jagged.
Not a single one of you ran the game on Ultra, that is my point. I think you are missing it. All of your settings were set to ultra, but not all of them actually worked. After a true full screen comes in and antialiasing actually works in game, those lower end GPUs running "Ultra" will be brought to their knees if they don't disable it.
Thus my point. Don't recommend low end GPUs to run this game until you actually see what hardware it will take to run full detail, and hardware enhancements.
EQ2's texture and lighting can still put the latest systems to the test when you crank everything.
This is ridiculous. Giving the community advice to wait on buying hardware, has nothing to do with my system. It has everything to do with people not wasting their money to upgrade their PC to run this to the fullest.
Lower end GPUs will struggle severely with antialiasing, and will most likely have to be turned off. Not a single one of you ran this game with antialiasing turned on because it did NOT WORK.
even high end gpus struggle with AA unless you have have lots of Vram this is why i got the 4gig version for my card. never had an AA issue since
Right, got it. You clarified a few times. But apparently, I'm not the only one who thought your initial post was poorly worded. It's over, let it go. Thanks for the advice.
I dont need pics to prove something like this. Antialiasing doesnt work in borderless window mode. Thats all the proof you need. You guys are going to get a nice wakeup call when it actually DOES work, and your system slows to a crawl until you turn it off.
Sorry for looking out for the community and giving a friendly warning that the hardware you are about to purchase may not give you the desired results.
Sue me! Wont happen again.
I do agree that the extra effects will take more processing power, but keep in mind that many graphics cards themselves - especially with SLI and Crossfire - are not fully utilized without true fullscreen.
Well, given that this game has required specs found here: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/storefaq
Plus this is an MMO, so we aren't talking about high-end systems to max out everything, or at least everything that matters. Beyond that, what IS the point of your post? Just a meme post, we get it, you want to be heard for the good of.... nobody.
I'll be maxing this on Ultra, deal with it.
Those arent my computer specs, and the video card is 4+ years old. I find it hilarious when people try to troll, and fall flat on their face.
So since exclusive full screen isn't coming out til post launch what you're saying is nobody should buy a new computer for the game (or buy the game at all).
Brilliant.
I'm pretty sure people giving advice on PC specs are talking about the client as it currently exists, the one that we'll be able to log into in a few days. In that case, their advice is sound. That's all people want - to play the client that currently exists. Not this "whenever it's actually done" one.
The best part is, you are acting like I am talking to you. I am talking about people looking to upgrade their GPU/CPU for this game, without knowing all that it will entail. It is a mistake to tell them to get a lower end card, when in reality, the upcoming graphic enhancement from fullscreen may cripple their system because of unforeseen settings actually working.
Kinda funny how everyone is taking advice so personally.
what they need to add is 4 times the draw distance, it's kinda low as it is
Ya lets just buy stuff for how the game exists NOW, and expect it to work perfectly after the changes are made at launch. BRILLIANT!
No one, not me, not you, not anyone.. is running this game on ultra right now. Not a single one of you. Until it is true full screen (which someone posted that it WAS this past weekend), you cant say what will run and what wont.
I tried to make this an informative caution post before people go burn money on a GPU. Way to start measuring members....
well have a good look again at mine and weep
You're not talking to anyone is the point, your post doesn't matter and it has no influence in any way shape or form on those buying hardware for ESO.
Nothing will be "crippled" no need to lie either and I haven't seen anyone telling people in this thread to buy a "lower end card."
Its not advice, advice is based on facts and they use those facts to come to a good conclusion based on the required information. All you're doing is saying to NOT do something, that isn't advice. Well at least not advice beyond what I would expect from a gas station employee.
So yeah, people are finding your post to be a joke, which it is. Let me know when you figure out how to actually give good advice based in fact and not speculation.
Just get an 8GB Nvidia GTX 880... or something like that.
Problem solved.
Right, but single GPU in mind here (which a lot of people have been posting about buying) may struggle in the lower end. SLI/Crossfire actually working for higher end systems would be welcome obviously, but not everyone can afford 2 cards.
This was a post to warn people before purchasing. The game on ultra right now in beta, is not what the game on ultra will be at release of full screen mode.
Then the thread turns into people berating me for giving caution on a purchase. Its your money! Go buy whatever, just dont wonder why your 150 dollar GPU cant run antialiasing in this MMO.
