Everything is now a spoiler?

Post » Tue Sep 27, 2011 6:32 pm

I just read the new voice actors article on Bethblog and I have to say that everything in there made me feel bad. Its all great news but it just could have been better if I did not know about it.

Infact, everything coming out now is like a spoiler to me. Does anyone else feel this? Im really effected by spoilers so I dont you how many of you will be feeling this.

It kind of svcks.

As soon as I saw that there were mild spoilers I just skipped it. I have stopped looking at articles now and just rely on the thread maker to separate the new info(IE. game mechanics and perks) from the spoilers (IE. story and quest related stuff)

The closer we get, the more info is going to be released in order to pump up the casual fans- the biggest issue is that they're trying to appeal to as many people as possible in the gaming community, so a wide net of info will be released as they don't know what will appeal to everyone.

I'm ok with it, I'm going to be so excited playing that I'll forget most of this once the disc is installed and I see that logo on my screen :)

I dont read previews anymore for this exact reason, I didnt feel the voice actors and their chars were spoilers though.
But Ill stay away from possible spoiler material from now on, wether its story or simply world detail, its all spoilers.

I'm trying to avoid everything except details on the character system. I am so far out of the loop on other stuff I have to resolve to stop responding to questions on it from now on. :spotted owl:

I am ok with it but I usually try to avoid spoilers as much as I can esp. the main quest.

This weekend is the first of October and just a little over a month to launch. This is about the time where we really have to be cautious.

I think everyone has a different spoiler threshold. I'm fine with knowing specific game mechanics and production tidbits (voice actors), but I don't want to know plot points or special locations, like how to get invites to factions, etc.

I'm fine with it honestly. Factions and gameplay are interesting to see whats there and what has changed.

Killer for me is if they start listing off every armor type (I'm certain there is more to it then we know), everything's apperances, and especially questions (Main, Faction, or otherwise). As I'd like to find all of those on my own and figure them out.

While reading one of these topics I came across some quest spoilers for the game, wasn't really a massive spoiler but some things are better knowing when you finally see it for yourself, that way its all new to you.

Like while watching a random video on YouTube, in the comments someone ruined the GoW3 campaign for me which was rather disappointing :stare:

Yeah, starting to feel like that for the first time. I'm a little more hesitant to read every scrap of info now that there's more info out there. For example, I didn't indulge myself on every single perk that was posted. I would love just some more gameplay video rather than any more new information.

Meh, this is why most people go into forum exile a month or two before a game is released. It might be hard, but if you truly dislike the idea of learning more about the game it's one of the better things to do. Especially a week before release, when the spoilers are running rampant.

Basically anything I learn that I would not have seen in the Player Manual is more than I needed to know.

All I really needed to know is that it's a TES game.

I would like to know enough about how characters are developed and how fighting is done, things like that.

The only way to really avoid spoilers now is to stay away from the forums. It would be nice if people used spoiler tags more often though <_<
