EVIL ANIMALS!

Post » Mon May 21, 2012 5:14 am

Hey everyone,

This is like my second topic started today under this subforum..... I was enjoying not having too much lag or many glitches, when within the past two days my game just went kerplunk. Im not sure if anyone read my problem with my follower and the guard and the naked courier in an earlier post today, but now im having more trouble, and more annoying. I was playing skyrim and fast traveled to some place on my map that said cleared..... Too bad, there was a large group of bandits. I couldnt get into the place because it was locked with one of those special up and down gates, so i killed a few and ran off on Shadowmere. Then i get far away and a bear attacks me, so i kill it. Everything was OK until right after that. All of a sudden, my enemy indicator goes berserk. I look around, but nobody is there except for a "friendly" hunter. Upon closer look, i saw that my "enemies" were animals. Every single animal around me, from fox to elk, was just running around aimlessly, apparently my enemy. Shadowmere runs after them all and kills most of them, when a dragon comes, i kill that, and watch a final elk sprinting away from Shadowmere..... What i would like to know is, why are animals randomly becoming enemies? after i did a nearby dungeon and came out, everything was back to normal. But really, what the heck was that all about?

Some times spriggans cause animals to go beserk, and therefore attack you ... I've had that happen to me a couple of times when an elk or a fox randomly attacks me as well, then i figured out it was that haha

Yea I have had this happen... If I remember correctly the animals appeared to have some kind of a green, glowing vein look like they were enchanted with something. Didnt know Sprigs casted frenzy, I thought it was a bug so I didnt pay much attention. I will have to look out for this again.

This happened to me the other day as well, i think i was down near Gjukar's Monument area somewhere when I was randomly attacked for no reason by two elks, a fox and a goat?? Are there even any Spriggans in that area? This may be another of the many bugs in this game...

Spriggans can appear as random encounters. Had a pair show up north near Winterhold, and they sometimes seem to frenzy animals in a pretty massive range.. Frenzied animals have a sort of a green glow to them.

"Hmmm, I sense opponents near by, but who are they? Why aren't they coming out to attack me? Very rude, very rude indeed. I guess I should do the neighborly thing and introduce them to my good friend, Slashy McSword." Before I hike over the small ledge to see whom my newest victims lied in wait on the other side, I'm attacked by a fox.

"Odd" I think to myself, but easily dispatched for it's skin will serve my ends well. I continue my short trek over the small ledge and what do I see but three goats. Three goats stood evenly spaced side by side just staring at me. Not attacking, not even moving, just standing there...staring at me.

Their eyes make a very nice necklace if I do say so myself. A very nice necklace indeed.

When a place says cleared that means you cleared it at least once. They do repopulate

I always enjoy the posts of these longer encounters. Kill them all my friend, kill them all.

I've had this happen before, without a spriggan around to cast anything. I killed a goat, and then had a small army of goats coming after me. No glow about them, just regular goats attacking.

I guess they don't like it when you kill one of their friends.
