Has anyone else lost some excitement? We better get some really good info from E3 to get me pumped again...

Not really no. And if it has slightly, it's only because TW2 is now so close I can almost smell it, and I've been awaiting that for a while too. I'll probably immerse myself into that for a while and then I'll be ready to be even more excited about Skyrim.

Nah, this place has just quieted very mildly since no new info has come out lately. As soon as things kick back up again, and E3 '11 happens, this place will be crazy.

I don't want to get excited, at least not until Bethesda OFFICIALLY says what DRM is involved.

No. Most everything that at this time can be said, has already been said thousands of times in multiple threads. The excitement is still there, but with nothing new coming out now, there is nothing to talk about, so people start re-hashing the same old subjects over and over...which gets old pretty quick.

FYI: I haven't lost any excitement for Skyrim. I haven't even begun to get excited yet. That'll come on 11-11-11 or whenever it winds up getting released.

Didn't Pete already confirm Steam?

Only steams down the more you learn about the game, whats there to be excited about it then? You have practicality beat it before you have been started it. Chillax on the research for a while and you may get your excitement back.

I'd just like a screenshot or video every two weeks or so, nothing much maybe just shots of a few weapons, or areas of little interest so the game wouldn't be "spoiled' for anybody. Would keep me on my toes, but at the same time it would keep me satisfied until november.

I mean, lets face it, Bethesda doesn't have to "sell" skyrim to anybody. The people who are interested in Skyrim are the ones who are going t buy it regardless of media or game features. Everybody is going to buy skyrim, so at this point Bethesda should just focus on giving us frequent (but "spoiler-proof") media to keep us satisfied until the game comes out and we can play the [censored] out of it :P

i voted: YES.
i'm too psyched about 2 new games that are coming out within the next 2 weeks.
BRINK is on the BRINK (pun intended) of coming out which is probably gonna change the FPS genre quite a bit. it looks EPIC also! (may 10th)
The Witcher 2 is an RPG that I loved the 1st one but haven't completed because it was a bit of an older game. This new one looks absolutely SICK! (may 17th)
with these two games around the corner my HYPENESS for those games are ULTRA high and my hypeness for skyrim's much lower.
I WILL however have my HYPENESS reboosted after E3 once we get hopefully a lot more info on BATTLEFIELD 3 and SKYRIM (these 4 games are pretty much the ONLY ones I want this year).

From the moment I first saw the trailer live on Spike, yes, of course. Otherwise, it's really just settled in my mind as being real rather than become less exciting, I'd say.

My excitement has definitely died down. They're not giving us any new info man! I see several new interviews, but they all talk about the same stuff that we all know already. This slow trickling of info is really killing the excitement for me. :ermm:

Two Worlds 2 has been out for a while.

The Witcher 2. Most times I've seen Two Worlds 2 abbreviated it's been 2W2.

My exitment to the game is still present but I wasn't over-reacting and actually realizing that the game pretty much comes out in a year. So ya, I been watching one other game however that comes out in August which will be the best FPS of the year for sure in terms of quality/innovation not sales.

Not as excited as when all the info was new but still pretty pumped, a new TES game isn't something that rolls around yearly. But I think I'll stop looking at all the new info to come (if there is any) so I don't completely spoil the experience when I get to play it for the first time.

Yeah, same. I've recently been getting back into The Witcher 1. I just wish the animations weren't so bad.

I know how you feel. Especially after reading on this forum all these things people would like to see in Skyrim and realizing they all are in TW2 :)

OT: you can hype things just so much until there's nothing left to do but wait for the game to come out. Frankly, I feel over-hype is detrimental to a game: I like to see some screenshots, sure; maybe some promo in-game trailers; if I am not sure about the game play, a short video about that, but too much information, and to me, the game loses it WOW factor when you get to finally play it.

And, removing Steam from Excitement is a good thing! Now just need to remove it from Skyrim :)
