Excluding potential player's same-six marriages...

Post » Mon Jun 10, 2013 6:22 pm

You'll be waiting a long time then. If we're lucky, A Dream of Spring will come out in 2030. :hehe:

And Podrick has... many skills. In the TV show anyway.

Yep, thats just it. Beth frankly hasn't shown themselves to give enough time and thought to their storylines in recent years in my opinion. So bring sensitive real world issues into it just has so much potentially to drastically backfire. They should continue things like they are doing with adding options to the game for players without giving commentary one way or the other on those options.

I'm hardly one to get upset and things by the way, I'm looking at this from a logical point of view despite being one of the letters in LGBTQ - I don't get up in arms about it unless whoever is really going over the line. So many people in the world get so up in arms though, really mind boggling for me but to each their own. :)

Play New Vegas.

Of course there will be no happy ending.

Queer and/or questioning. In the widest sense it's everything non-heteronormative that doesn't fall strictly under the first four letters.

In Morrowind, the bosmer npcs did NOT have the script trigger to recognize whether the player was male or female. Male and female bosmer used the same "idle" statements to players, no matter which gender they were.

We had to lock, delete, and sometimes end up warning so many posters that it became an automatic reaction to see a Fargoth thread and lock it.

Mostly the threads seemed to be created by the less mature male forum members. OMG FARGOTH WAS HITTING ON THEIR CHARACTER!!!!!!!!!! One line of dialogue "I believe you and I are about to become very close." was responsible for more threads than I want to remember that listed all the pointlessly graphic violent ways the player decided to kill Fargoth.

I can't recall seeing one thread complaining about Galbedir, a female bosmer, making the same comment to a female player character.

There will be people who react to anything in a negative manner. If there is a way to take something the wrong way, someone will find it.

Interesting. Ten years later we don't see nearly as many threads about same-six marriages in Skyrim; an occasional "Wow! I didn't know it was possible!" and a few "Wtf, Balimund is hitting on my dude" - and that's about it.

I still see plenty of double standards regarding the issue though. No one ever seems to complain when their female characters are hit on by other females. Gee, I wonder why?

I saw plenty of it in the "Best Male Spouse" thread earlier.

Please stay on topic. If you want to discuss characters from some other story than Skyrim, take it to Community discussion. It is off-topic for this forum.

Heimskrr is hitting on me :( or well.. HE yells III LOOOVE YOU!!!! to random people.

Would be fun to see a thread like that made by a new skyrim player who only hear heimskr say that.

No give them feminine qualities. Make Ulfric be a strong, but cute and shy nordic woman. (In her twenties) Make Tullius have naturally white hair, and while strict and mean on the outside, a soft and warm in her heart (In her twenties.)

Oh and maybe because YURI IS SO CUTE, and nobody minded it?

Yeah. I think its fairly recent, isn't it? Like only a few years at most.

Talaran, oh Talaran... I had completely forgotten about Fargoth. By Talos was that Bosmer annoying lol! I never picked up on that particular "issue" back when I played, though I was a lot younger I suppose.

Which is why I ducked out of the Morihaus discussion (just read the Song of Pelinal).

OT: Thing is, you just have to look at their attitude to any marriage. It's a sometimes dangerous land, life is short, and you just get on with certain facets of life. Racial tensions caused by centuries of violent history could conceivably erupt into something that affects you by making your life even shorter, someone else's sixuality isn't that likely to impinge on you in such a way, so why worry about it?

Sued for? Who knows. But they'd be sued BY some sort of radical, gay rights group.
