Excluding potential player's same-six marriages...

Post » Mon Jun 10, 2013 4:18 pm

....Are there any same-six couples in the game or people who were in a same-six relationship? What about single people confirmed to be non-hetrosixual? What about in the lore or cosmology> Nearest I know is The Lover being a Charge of The Thief, both constellations being depicted as female, but this potential cosmic lisbianism is sceptical at best.

Huh, I've been there but my eyes must have completely glanced over "My love" in that letter. Pretty tragic, all things considered.

The closest thing that comes to mind is Viranus Donton and his interest in a fellow Fighter's Guild member named Eduard Hodge.

My biggest gripe with the marriage system; you can get same six marriage, yet there are no same six couples (besides one on solsteim), and the NPCs don't even COMMENT on it?

Oh yes, him too. Seem most of the LGBTQ characters are post-humous.

Bethesda probably doesn't want to be sued for having gay comments on your marriage.

Yeah, but they could have the priest go, "Well, it's not orthodox, but there's no rules against it...so... why not?" They could have at least made note that it's a unique case, nothing negative.

Add Vivec and Crassius Curio to your list.

I'd like to point out that NPCs don't comment on your family life at all, regardless of what it looks like.

Yeah, I know; it's not like this is The Sims: Skyrim, though, and it is a neat little feature, I just don't think it fits, mostly because there is no other cases (Besides Vivec, Crassius Curio, and the nord guy).

It's likely that the people of Tamriel don't really care about sixuality. In a world with cat and lizard people, and where gender discrimination is pretty much non-existent, I don't think they'll likely care who's having six with what.

Except necrophilia and its 500 gold fine.

Na, I bet they do. Beth just didn't see the need to make a big deal of it. Remember Chorrol where people commented on the Imperial dating the dunmer? There's that.

Exactly, it's either pandering or bad writing (Probably the latter).

I think it's best for everybody to not make a big deal out of it.

I'm not making a big deal, I just thought it would be nice for some mention of it; heck, they don't even mention a hetero family.

They call each other "love". I don't know about you, but I wouldn't call my brother "love". That would make it worse.
