EXCLUSIVELY FOR XBOX ONE: Fallout 3 included with Fallout 4

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 12:54 am

Todd Howard revealed at Xbox's E3 conference, Xbox One versions of Fallout 4 will exclusively include Fallout 3 as a bonus. Thoughts? This made me smile, and glad I chose Xbox over Playstation!

Disappointing. was hoping they wouldn't do any exclusive stuff. Just hope it cost MS a hell of a lot of money.

Ah well, have a new ps4, definitely no regrets, and i can still pick up Fallout 4, probably second hand now that they are doing this exclusive stuff.

I wonder why they don't have more games being exclusive on Windows 10, too. I mean, it is their new OS and should they not promote it more? Gaming nowadays is huge, if they want to reach more people and younger generations then gaming is the way. It's things like these that make no sense to me.

@LillithM I'd prefer it if Microsoft stayed away from PC gaming, GFWL hasn't been forgotten, thankfully that was easily removed from FO3.

Since Xbox users will get it for free, I wonder if it will be sold instead of given away to ps4 users.

M$ must have paid a lot more this time to get exclusivity rights considering the PS4 outsold the Xbox One by a fair margin.

Lucky PlayStation if that were the case. :disguise:

If this is as far as exclusive deals go, I don't see the issue so long as it isn't actual DLC content.

It could be bad for Fo4 reception if too much FoNV features/contents is lost on the most recent game.

No need to give it for free to PC as fallout 3 dosen't work on windows 7 or later. And the fixes dosen't work for everyone. And its an old game anyway It was fun. If they make a new graphic upgrade it would be really nice. And I guess thats to some kind of deal that they have with microsoft. like when Xbox got the game one month earlyer. I do feel sorry for them tho as these games are known to be full of bugs. On PC they usualy gets modded away.

I do as well. I'm hate this. If someone buy $60 for the game they should get same everything as everyone else. If Bethesda was going to do all of this they should have just made FO4 a XB1 exclusive.

xbox can now do backwards comp.. it will aslo be a windows 10 device

so we can now play with PC players on windows 10

because of Windows 10 Microsoft has a partnership with both Valve/Vive and Oculus Rift

As Windows 10 is going to be (for a year) a free upgrade, they probably don't feel they have to have exclusives to induce people to pay for an upgrade. The free upgrade is the inducement, instead.

I still play FO3 on both Windows 7 and Windows 8. It takes a little tweaking of ini files (and messing around with GFWL), but it can be made to work.

Hadn't heard this before.....of course this means my free copy of Fallout 3, can go on the shelf next to my other Fallout 3 and Fallout 3 game of the Year Edition.

Lol, you know it. This is yet another reason why I'll for the GOTY edition. I will say though, Microsoft is smart getting the jump on exclusive content and DLC's.

I think that's kind of a sidenote to the fact that MODS will be on Xone, right? I mean, that sounds pretty great..

Microsoft know that this is one of their biggest chances to ship more Xbox One's as many people will be getting next generation consoles for Fallout 4.

Same here. I never saw a reason to trade in my PS3 since 'next gen' is just now starting to come alive. Even then, I'll still hold on to my PS3.
