So... Had anyone here ever had any good or bad experiences using a taxi at all? Any chance of mentioning the taxi's company name? I'm a little curious!

Never had a bad experience, but I only ever use them to get to and from airports. Otherwise, I walk, drive or take the bus. Generally, they're overpriced as all hell, so don't use them.

I am living with my father now and he actually runs a taxi business down here in North Carolina (Oak Island area and he doesn't own it; his friend owns it... He is just running it because his friend would've shut the business down, being lazy with it really). I've ridden with him in the front passenger seat as a 'take your son to work day' type of thing and watched how he does things. (He may run the business itself, but he still drives the taxi on some nights). I believe he charges 2 dollars to get in and 2 dollars per mile. I say that isn't bad, especially since how much gas can be.
