... but the Far Shores is essentially a place where spirits could jump to via stars to avoid being eaten. It's part of the Yokudan creation story in a time and place where the mortal plane had not been created yet.
It's not a place we can really concieve of because there used to be many worlds and this was the place in between them so that the spirits would avoid being eaten by Satakal. To understand Satakal, take the more known concepts of Anu and Padomay and fuse them into one being. Satakal though was preceded by Satak, but Satak ate himself and what came after was Satakal.
Did you gather this question from the Monomyth or from some other source. If you haven't read the Monomyth, I suggest reading it and looking at the Yokudan: Satakal the Worldskin. http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Monomyth
When it comes to creation myths and stories, Yokudans in my opinion have probably the most confusing and often misunderstood version. I'm not even sure if I have it all right. Nonetheless, it is among my favorites...and definitely my favorite among the races of Man.
An escape from the mortal plane, which is considered a pretty bad place by the Redguards. Its like their version of Aetherius, but instead of everyone going there after death, there seems to some sort of afterlife trial
