Exploding heads question

Post » Mon Oct 11, 2010 11:19 pm

I'm using FWE, and I have the FWE gore settings set to the lowest level (blood only).
Is there any way I can keep this but still have heads explode? I don't mean fall off, I mean burst into pieces.
Exploding heads are the only "fragment" of gore I want in this game (hehe). I've tried putting mods that tweak the gore to allow "exploding limbs" (I'm assuming that only applies to the head) at the bottom of my load order, but the FWE settings still override them.
Any suggestions?

Are you certain the files are loaded after FWE? Because last time I checked the latest mod is the one that overwrites the ones before it.
I never used FWE, but I don't think it's possible for an esm/esp to constantly overwrite anything loaded afterwards.

Other than making sure you load the gore mods last, by editing the date of the file, I don't know how to help you.

I can help you with that, but anything else is beyond my skills.

I'm using FOMM, and yes the gore mods are last.
Maybe it's a glitch: for some reason when using the fallout 3 launcher, all of the mods under "Data Files" are marked inactive, while in FOMM the mods I'm using are active.

It's at least possible for a mod to overwrite something that's changed by a mod loaded later, but only if its done via script. If FWE makes its changes by changing game settings in a script that runs repeatedly, like something in a gamemode block, it will overwrite any mods that directly alter the gamesettings, or only change the game settings once. Given that FWE is configurable, the changes would have to be made via script.

Oh, okay. I wondered if maybe it was a script.
Fitwizle, uh, if I remember, don't use the Fallout Launcher's Data files. It's a little buggy.

Oh, okay.

Is it difficult changing things via script?
