Every time I send an explorer out, they get encounters as normal but they don't receive items, only exp. There seem to be a couple events where I will obtain items, mostly finding a random locker, but all others just give exp.

I have tried resetting the phone as well as the application but I have not messed with the time at any point.

I found that the farther they go, the better their chances are.

I started sending my strongest dweller out when I go to sleep at night. (Send him out with 4 Stimpaks and 4 Radaways)

He will self-administer the drugs as needed while exploring.


Next morning... you'll be surprised at the gear he has collected. In 3 nights of doing this, I have collected quite a few Gausse, Laser, and other more rare weapons.


*Downside... It will take hours for him to return with the gear.
