Explosive build

So yeah wanted to make a build as i've made build for every type of weapon apart from explosive. A guy who split up from the boomers, loves his explosives and solves his problem by exploding things.

Do you want to be pure explosives, or integrate it with something else? If the former, I would suggest something like explosives, repair and whatever else you want (medicine, maybe). If the latter, than I would suggest energy weapons, explosives and repair.

As for traits, I would say four eyes and small frame, but kamikaze and built to destroy are also fine.

Explosive is the only thing don't work well with Small Frame unless you found room for Adamatium Skeleton. And why would you humper yourself down for a point of special with four eyes?

Here is my not so special new vegas SPECIAL: 5573659, this is design to take as much implants as possible to maximize special points.

As for perks, it would be either all 3 ranks of Demolition Expert or don't; either focus on having you and your companion relatively unharmed, or bumping out maximum damage. The other good thing about not taking Demolition Expert is that you would have 3 more perks for your secondary combat skill. If you do want to pick Demolition Expert, search for the list of weapons that it doesn't work or fix on nexus.

Splash Damage is wonky, don't pick it. Hit the Deck on the otherhand, is awesome.

Dynamite have a rather long fuse and takes a while to throw, a good trick is light it behind cover, pop out to throw and pop back behind. If you don't have a secondary combat skill, you better get use to it because it would be a while before you get a Grenade Rifle (unless you have the Mercenary's Pack).

Grenades and mines are more or less the same as FO3; if you are going to pack plenty of them then you should look into Pack Rat perk.

Grenade Rifle should and would be your bread and butter weapon until you get Grenade Launcher . It have a decent reach even without long barrel upgrade. Get use to its trajectory, always try to hit target's feet instead of head (as all explosive weapon really) for maximum damage. The only downside of a Grenade Launcher is you don't get to bombard unsuspected mobs over a 100 yard like you can with Grenade Rifle.

Grenade Machine Gun is heavy and rather short range; however if you don't have a secondary combat skill, this is your only from of high spike output.

Missile Launcher is a nice alternative long range weapon if you are on normal or can't get hold of enough 40mm grenades. On hardcoe the heavy weight of missile means you would lost a fair share of weight for it.
